What does the weather tend to be like towards the last couple of weeks of August? :shrug:

We know it's hot, but is it wetter than the end of July / begining of August (thats the time we have been on our last two trips and the weather was beautiful apart from approx one hour each day where it rainned)

We'd like to go at the end of August this time around, but we're worried about the rainfall potential - we don't want it to spoil the trip with cancelled parades and shows etc (last trip we missed out on the MGM parade, Lion King show and Indiana Jones show, all due to rainfall :( )

We've been the last two Augusts. We go the last week. There is usually a short thinderstorm each day. I hadn't noticed anything being cancelled or shut down due to the weather though.

We went around August 17th in 2003 for 7 days and had only one day where it rained pretty much for 24 hours. We had planned a rest day for the following day, so we just shifted and relaxed that day instead.

Otherwise, just the odd shower and standard afternoon rainstorm. And heat and humidity!

June, July and August are the wettest months of the year. You can count on a thunderstorm practically everyday.

Sounds like the weather will be just the same as when we've been before then! That's great - as long as it wasn't worse ;)

We were there 15th-25th 2004 and it was lovely weather. There was a short shower most days but only once did it last into the night......

The end of August is EXTREMELY hot, and it rains about an hour each day, being that the summer is florida's rainy season.

Very Hot, and a thunderstorm nearly every afternoon !! It is never my favorite time to go. It takes some getting used to.

I like going in July and August.It does seem to rain everyday but not for long. I much rather be in Disney in 90 degree weather then today when it is in the 40's.Drink fluids and pace yourself and the hot wetaher will be no big deal.Another thing when it rains you will see people heading for the exits,this is a good time to head over to the rides that normally have long lines.
My friends always say that I am crazy for going to WDW in July and August because of how hot it is and I always laugh because it is 90 and humid here in NYC in August. :rotfl:
