What happens at DTD check in... can anyone with Virgin flights use them? Do we have to tell them we are coming to use them beforehand? and we won`t have our own transport so how will we get there with all our luggage? Can we get a cab right up to it? And last... lol! Whereabouts exactly is it? Thank you XXXXX

We used DTD check in last weekend - when our plane tickets etc arrived in the post, we had a couple of vouchers also sent to us which said that we could use DTD check in.
It is right behind Cirque du Soleil on the Westside of Downtown Disney. The car park runs right along side the check in area. It is just a couple of counters and a couple of large vans to load the luggage onto. When you arrive, some one will walk up to you and ask which flight you are on so they know which van to load your cases onto. You walk to the counter with your passport and plane tickets - 30 seconds later, you are saying "thank you" and you are on your way. This is what happened to us - maybe some one else has had a different experience
It was all very quick and painless. We were then told to arrive at the airport 30 mins before our flight boarded rather than 3 hours
Hope this helps a little until some one else comes along :)

Anyone on the flight can use DTD but only virgin holidays customers get a free voucher. All other passengers (inc kids) pay $5. The check in is open 08.30 to 13.00 and in the middle of the morning the economy queue can be an hour. A cab would be the best option because you aren't allowed suitcases on disney buses

Hi. We also found DTD checkin really quick and easy last weekend. Only thing I would say is that you do need also to allow time to get through security at the airport. :)
