Its a source of much discontentment in the apple groups Mmac...

Apple have ermmm copied it? used it? recreated it? and will be shipping their version free with the next version of macosx in a couple of months :/ People are saying it'll kill off konfabulator

I've read about the controversy, and much prefer Konfabulator's free-floating approach to the Dashboard panel (haven't yet seen if they will allow the mini mods to float or attach around yet - do you know?)

Konfabulator was also created by a former Apple employee, wasn't it? The whole thing looks a bit bloomy. They are written totally differently, however, so wondering about that.

I just find the calculators, calendars, weather reports, tiny search boxes, etc, a bit of a joy.

I haven't used it in real life so not sure if they all pop up on screen together or if they float individually.. but in the demo I thought it was individually just like konf :/
