(Not sure if this thread belongs here or in gadgets and gizmos, I took a guess) :)

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a new camera bag. The one I took in July of 2003 was great, but possibly a little bit too big. I was able to take my SLR and digital and this time I would just like to take my digital. :D (Still nervous about taking all my pictures with the digital).

I'm a big fan of Lowepro bags, but I'm open to other brands.

I'm looking for something that will with stand the rain in July of this year.

Thanks :D

I bought a small zip-top bag at Target in December, Billie. Part of my unplanned camera purchase.

It's a shade larger than my digital camera, so I can fit extra batteries (the one I purchased in December eats them) and memory cards in it.

It's about 4" high by 6" wide, with a removable strap that I used to attach it to my shoulder bag strap. It has a soft lining, and was in the $6 to $8 range. I didn't want to spend a lot--on top of having to buy an additional camera!

Just keep your camera under your poncho when it rains. Lot cheaper than a waterproof case.http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

It would be common sense to do that, but I'm too paranoid.

I'm with you on the LowePro, Doc.
It's dry, has room for my telephoto, batteries and smartcards.
Plus you can attach shopping bags to it by unclipping the strap and stringing it through the bag handle.
Hands free shopping!
