I know digital cameras are everyone's joy here at this site...all of us have our own preferences. I have a Kodak DX6440. I used to have a Sony until the LCD screen died on me. In this section of the forums I know there are lots of different cameras that members are asking about. Canon seems to be the one that is preferred, I think.

I'll have to go back and look.

I know this wasn't any help!

Really depends on how much you want to spend etc? Do you have any preference in terms of make or media it should take (eg. do you prefer sony?)

My camera is a cannon Powershot A85 4meg pixals with 5.4 - 16.2mm zoom lens with possibility of adapter lenses. Takes compactflash memory.

Summerbreeze's camera is a very small Pentax Optio S4i 4meg pixals with 5.8 - 17.4mm zoom lens. takes san disc memory cards.

Of the 2 I think the pentax camera is the better and the size will allow it to go easily into a purse or small pocket. It is a lovely ladies camera. (hope the doesn't sound sexist)

Sony Cybershots are getting cheap, you can get a 4.1 mega pixel for a little over 100 dollars. :D My Cybershot is still living, and it's a year and a half old. :D

On the recommendations of some members, I bought a Canon A75 and I couldn't be happier with my selection. It takes awesome photos!

While we are on the subject, I am thinking of buying the Olympus C-765. Anyone hear anyhting good or bad about this camera?

Its a decent enough camera with a good zoom.

My only problems with it were lack of stabilisation resulted in blurry photos when zoomed in (unless you use a tripod or take photos in bright daylight) and I found it took ages to actually take the photo when the button was pressed.. I even did the "press the button, nothing, turn it round to see what had happened, flash in the face, picture of startled looking keith" thing a few times

I don't want to make it sound bad though... the zoom is mega useful in good light and it takes good photos
