Is this worth us going to watch? We are staying at the Grosvenor in DTD. Where should we go to watch this - if it is worth doing?
We've been twice before so want to spend more time doing and looking at things we havent done rather than racing from one attraction to another.
We aim for a more relaxing Orlando holiday if that is possible!

I think it's adorable. It doesn't last very long at all, maybe five minutes??, but it always seems to surprise us when we run into it. Can you combine it with a dinner out at one of the MK resorts?

it is a nice thing to just come across by chance but in all honesty not worth a special journey
i caught it in december from the boat dock at the GF while waiting to watch wishes
now that is a great thing why not drop by there at about 8 pm
have a good look around and make your way to the boat dock around 8 45 whne hte fireworks are scheduled for 9
that way you get 3 things , the water pagent , the fire works and a look around the GF
to me that is a nice night

It's quite charming, but probably not worth a special trip to see it. If you can combine viewing it with a trip to one of the resorts or zip to the top of the train station and look out over the lagoon at the right time, it's a terrific interlude.
Originally, it was about 15 minutes or so. But as the boats have aged, they haven't been replaced. I think it was planned just for the Bicentennial in 1976 (celebrated over 2 years), but it was so popular that a limited version still operates today!

I agree with Candyman, my preferred viewing spot is at the boat dock at the GF...make sure that you use insect repellant though as the mosquitos tend to gather there!
As posted by others, it`s not really worth making a special trip to see it unless you combine it with a visit to one of the monorail resorts or WL from where you can see it.
