Heres a few of the latest rumours cirulating around WDW just now :)

Firstly, Tarzan Rocks is rumoured to close permanently in the Autumn/Fall 2005 however WDI has still yet to decide what will replace it. A possible re-vamp of the previous resident 'Journey into the Jungle Book' may return or something more fitting of its location (near Dino-land) could also feature.

The living seas may be down for further re-hab soon to complete the final stages of the Finding Nemo attraction. No indications thus far as to what will be added though.

WDI are currently running the rule over Ellens Energy Adventure too, with a possible replacement of the current attration being planned. Still a long way of any offical announcement and still only rumour.

Lights, Motor, Action! looks like being given a March 15th 'Soft Opening' Again, this is only rumour but expect an offical announcment in the coming days/weeks

WDW management are considering the removal of the wand that sits next to Spaceship Earth as part of Epcots 25th anniversary celebration in 2007
Presumably this is to give Epcot's icon its original look.

MGM could also have a 2nd Muppets attraction in the coming years. Now that Disney owns the muppets, it is rumoured WDI are planning something new for them along side Muppets 3D :beaker:

Maybe they'll shrink her and put her in Small World.

There is another rumour floating around right now which is more important than all of those Kiltie listed put together.

Tigger's black nose may be turning pink! Apparently the black nose is hard to see through. Don't know why he just doesn't use his eyes like everyone else.

Yay! Replace Ellen! :bounce:

Would be good to see another Muppets attraction

Also be good to see Tarzan replaced. Only seen it once and wouldn't go back. I prefer the Broadway type stage shows like Beauty and the Beast & Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Here Here!
Hmmm... wanna start a rumour? :gossip:

*cough* Have you heard, WDI are thinking of replacing the IASW dolls with the classic Disney characters such as those featured in 'Robin Hood' The brainwshing theme music will also be withdrawn, never to be heard again :p

seriously though, Id love to see more of the muppets! :woohoo: Wouldnt be sad to see the out-of-place wand removed from the ball too!
Would'nt like Ellen to go either but it possibly could do with updating, hope thats all that changes.

It would be marvellous to see Spaceship Earth returned to it's former simple splendour. :)

Yeay! More Muppets, more Muppets!!:wiggle:

   more Muppets!! Woohoo!!

I like Ellen's Energy thing too. I'll join your campaign Dawn :(

And thank goodness Tarzan Rocks is going. I thought it was absolutely abysmal, with no redeeming features at all.

Dawn
February 14th, 2005, 15:57
I personally thought Tarzan was quite redeeming.

Deb

I haven't seen this one yet. :( I should right it sometime, before it dissappears.

at least they aren't mentioning the Spaceship Earth ride replacement any more. I hope they never do!

Dawn, Tarzan does have it's redeeming qualities, doesn't it. ;)

I wonder if the wand will be offered on Ebay? I'd love to have it on the side of my house!

February 14th, 2005, 17:07
:sigh: I like Ellen too - think it has something to do with the fact that it was one of the first things we did on my first visit to Epcot and we always go on it out of habit.

Don't mind Tarzan either - I must be easily pleased

OKWTink
February 14th, 2005, 18:35
Good riddance to that trashy wand. I hope they take the arm and hand along with it. I've never liked it. Pah.

No more Ellen? :tears:

You wouldn't really let them take IASW away, would you Kiltedwarrior?

Taran? Blech. That's one show that can easily be replaced in my opinion. :D

I like Muppets!

I think the Spaceship Earth attraction needs to be refurbished, but not replaced. It's really bad to walk off of there now into that empty room. :sigh:

Dawn
February 14th, 2005, 18:43
Is that another member of the Save Ellen campaign?

Really must think up a catchy slogan now. :D

Chris/Lisa
February 14th, 2005, 18:43
Don't get me wrong - love Ellen - just don't like the message the whole pavillion is trying to put across

Dawn
February 14th, 2005, 18:44
So get rid of the "we're running out of fossil fuels" bit, and just keep the pre-show.

Problem solved.

Chris/Lisa
February 14th, 2005, 18:47
Just get her to do the introduction to living sea's as Dory :D

Agree with you there! Im sure they could find a use for the area until they get another sponsor, would at least bring a bit more life to the place :sigh:

It would actaully be the whole structure surrounding the ball that would be removed Tink! (If it goes ahead) Some folk like it, some dont, im not all that taken with it either so hope this does become fact :)
Would like them to relocate the 'Leave a legacy' thing too but thats another hope.

Chris/Lisa

February 15th, 2005, 11:43
We had a waiter serve us in Epcot (Italian - Alberts?) who looked like Beaker. :beaker: My DS who was 4 at the time said, "Oh look, there's the boy with the longest neck in the world". He thought the poor guy was one of the attractions! That was 2 years ago (this week) and we still laugh about it. :D

I like Ellen, I really do, but the ride is just so boring and so long....

ROTFLMAO!!! :rotfl: Too funny!! My daughter was 5 when she embarrassed us...we were at a restaurant in Amish Country and the waitress was mixing up everyone's orders at all the tables. I had no idea that my daughter was paying any attention to what was going on around us. When the waitress came to our table my daughter looked right at her and said to her matter of factly "You must have crazy things going on in your head." Everyone at the surrounding tables were cracking up!!!

Anyway...back to the topic!

Tarzan!! Oh dear!! My daughter will be crushed! I can already tell you that if this rumour is true I forsee us having to sit through multiple showings of Tarzan on our next trip. I on the other hand, say "YAY!!" It was too darn loud

Epcot wand - I could take it or leave it...no hard feelings.

Ellen - Can you believe I've never seen it?!

I like Ellen too!! I remember that ride being quite boring when I was little, wasn't it sponsored by Exxon or someone like that? I don't know how long ago they changed it to include Ellen but when we went last Sept I was pleasantly surprised at how much it had improved.

Kiltie, I was told by several CM's that Tarzan Rocks is sticking around as it's the second most popular show on property (huh??) behind Lion King. It's probably more corporate hogwash, and goodness only knows I'm a bit gullible sometimes... :hehe:

I finally got to see Ellen and I loved it - she's hysterical!! The rest of the pavillion is a bit of a bore, though I got all teary at the Making of Me. Oh wait... is that in the right pavillion?

JuniorMickey
March 3rd, 2005, 22:50
Making of me is in a different pavilian than Ellen Mac dear. We did Making of Me & Cranium Comand before heading over to Ellen :D

I would love for Lights, Motor, Action to open before May. Like say maybe by April 15th to the 23rd! :D It looks like they have the set ready to go, they were practicing with the cars and such when we were there in Feb. Lots of rubber marks on the blacktop!

Tarzan is deafening! It is so incredibly loud that it takes any enjoyment what-so-ever you may be able to draw from it. Saw it once and cringe when I can hear the music all the way across the park.

Ellen, well, take it or leave it, doesn't matter here!

I can't seem to get DS interested in the Muppets! He just doesn't care for them! Hmmm--I wonder if he's confused/frightened/disappointed by the non-cartoon, non-human form they take! He loves WDW, but steers totally clear of the characters too.

Spaceship Earth has felt very empty and truly missing "something" since AT&T pulled out. I thought for sure something would have replaced them by now! I agree though, lose the wand, hand and sparks.

I've also been disappointed with the Living Seas the past few years. It seems like something desperately needs to be done to make this more than a pass-thru aquarium. There really isn't an attraction here.

Looking forward to seeing any of these rumors come to reality!
