Does anyone know when the sequel for Pirates is scheduled to be released? Have they even started filming? Just curious. In my "unofficial guide to WDW", it says that Johnny Depp's character will be added as an animatronic figure to the ride when the sequel comes out.

The IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383574/) gives 2006 as the date Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is due out. I remeber a CM on the MGM backlot tour telling us that they planned to film 2 & 3 simmultaneously....the IMDB seems to confirm this.

Can you imagine how eerie that must be? To see yourself as an animatronic figure? :unsure: I can't imagine being on an attraction and seeing myself as a character of the display!

I guess the presidents must get used to it, eh?

Sort of like Madame Toussaud's too. That would be creepy to me, too. Seeing myself as a statue.

If Mr. Depp is frightened by his own Animatronic, I'll happily hold his hand whilst on the ride. I don't mind.............honest. :wink:

My FIL is going to be an extra in this as he is sailing round the carribean at teh moment- my kids will go mad if he is actually in it!
