My family is debating if we want to do Typhoon Lagoon or just Blizzard Beach, I want to check out this new ride Crush and Gusher but I wouldnt want to do swimming with the sharks/fish/whatever. Is it worth our time and money to do TL or just do BB?

How long are you going for? Both have their own plus points and - although they are both water parks are quite different and worthwhile if you have time

If I said I've got 12, 8 & 3 yr old children. 2 like swimming and 1 hates water and the DH has a ECV/scooter, would you recommend going to a water park? If so, which one?
Would I be forever running from 1 child to the next etc.

We've never been to a water park.

I've been to both TL and BB. Personally I perfer BB. But then again, I didn't have the best of days at TL. I will go back to TL just to try the new slide out because it sounds really cool

Although we love both parks, we'd recommend TL! It's more relaxed and easy going for a family :)

How long are you going for? On our first trip we only had time for one water park and we choose TL because it was the more relaxed parks and we liked the idea of the wave pool. There's a lot more in TL that the swimming with the sharks and fish though, however BB has the better slides if you like water attractions! :)

BB just shades TL overall for the slides etc, but i just love the wave pool at TL its so cool, puts a biiiiiiiig grin on my face when i hear all the little kids start screaming when the wave is coming, its so funny and they do it every single time, brilliant :D  i could not go to wdw without going to either BB or TL, no way :D

queenie i have seen wheelchair bound people in the pool at TL right close to the edge and he looked like he had a wail of a time he was there for hours :D

BB was closed for rehab last visit which i was real miffed at but hey we went to TL 4 times instead, its just a great place to be to chill out and take a break from the parks, who needs to goto a beach when you have them on the wdw doorstep, saves a 1-2 hr drive

BB was closed when we were there so we went to TL and had a *fantastic* day (Kids were 4 & 6).

Which child is that hates the water?

I think TL is better for wheelchair access - the pathways were much better.

We did BB when we went, mum dosn't swim so she stayed on the loungers while me, brother an dad went in. The slides are really great and the pools are fantastic. Only problem I had was the flooring in the 'beach' pool thingy, it wasn't flat it was gritty and sharp. Im not sure if this is a normal thing for all USA people but Iv never been anywere that had flooring like that in water, made swimming uncomfortable, especially when I landed on my knees lol. (Yer i swim funny lol)

Thanks for your warning Sarah, I've just bought my daughters some pool/wet shoes, they will be glad of them.

i've never had a problem with this and have never noticed any small kiddies having problems either, but i know what you mean, it could be nasty id a kiddie fell over at the waters edge and grazed theirself.

its to stop it being all slippery underfoot in the pool :)
