Is there a walkway from AKL to AK or is it not as close as it looks?
Anyone any views on the bus transportation at this resort?
Are they frequent/infrequent?
Are they busy/quiet?
Thanks :)

no you can't walk between AKL and Ak.
IMO this is the only bad thing about AKL, you are quite a way all the other parks. Personally i would take the bus to AK and the car elsewhere.

Don't have a car while we are in WDW. I don't mind the time it will take as long as I can get a seat on a bus :) .

unfortunately you can never guarantee a seat on the bus. If it is a major issue for you and you were at the back of the line you could always wait for the next bus.
Their lines are generally shorter than the value or moderate resorts because they lay more on but at kicking out time at the parks there will still be one.

If we are ever in a park at closing time we always hang back until the rush has died down. Hey, I could put that in the 'Tip' thread :)

There were many times in my last trip that I didn't get a seat. I just had to stand, which is sometimes difficult due to the 'quickness' of the drivers.
But I would rather have a quick driver than an easy paced one. But that's just me. :)

I think it is almost impossible to walk anywhere in WDW, except if you take the path from Epcot to MGM, apart from that, there really aren't any sidewalks.
Now, AK is a 10min bus ride to AKL, so its not that close by, I would definetly recommend taking the bus.
I dont remember the buses to AKL being as crowded as buses to value and moderate resorts, we got a seat most of the time...

We were there in the height of the summer and never had real problems getting a seat. The only time we did was coming bcak to the hotels after fireworks etc. And even then, like previously stated, you could always wait for the next bus to get a seat, at the busy times busses were often queuing to pick people up

Actually AKL is VERY CLOSE to AK. The problem is that there is no direct bus route from AKL to AK so it takes longer than it should. Also, as mentioned, no sidewalks.
