The break-even has gone way up. The AP's are around $420ish, and the MYW ten day with park hopping are now $247.08. Almost a $200 difference now. Plus, you can add the dining plan to a MYW package, whereas you have to purchase a membership to get a 20% dining discount for AP holders.

If you are talking Christmas / New Years time? No the annual pass discounts usually are only up to the last day of the value season

If you are talking spring break time then yes there are AP discounts

Looking at the last couple of years, AP discounts seemed to be avaliable for everyday except for the Christmas period

Actually this last year there were NO AP discounts on ANY holiday. It used to be just Christmas, but we couldn't get them for Thanksgiving, or Mother's Day. We got the days right after the holiday but not the time period that they actually considered the holiday.

Thanks for the clarification John, I wasn't thinking of the black out dates during Thanksgiving. They didn't have that during Easter though, go figure

I guess if you are lucky enough to visit for over a month, during the value season...
