Have never been to either. We always buy the 'plus' passes but never make it! Last trip we also thought Owen would be too young at 16 months old. At least we have the tickets for our next trip!

We don't for the same reason as Morgan8. Can't be everywhere, watching every child. :(

I usually like to visit one if I have time, but not more than one per visit. Going in the fall the last few years, it's depended on which has been open at the time.
Did TL one visit, year after Blizzard Beach, last year none as we didn't have time :(
I voted for TL as you didn't have an 'either TL or BB option' :D

Every 3rd or 4th day as a chill out day. Hit a park in the evening but you just cannot beat a hour or so in that lazy river. Chuck in a few goes on the family raft ride and the one drop on summit plummit and the days a good one. Some new ones to try next visit.

We did both in 98. Our favourite is TL. We didn't get to BB last year because, although we love the slides there, there isn't alot of shade and there is alot of concrete,so we stuck to TL.
We'd like to do both in October but if one is closed due to rehab we'll just do the other.
The water parks are a real favourite with our family and we would be happy spending a week doind just the water parks. :D We were very sad about River Country closing....that had a lovely atmosphere and its own "personality".

As I can`t swim, I`ve never been to any of them.
Somehow, the sight of me with my trousers rolled up and with a knotted handkerchief on my head when I go for a paddle is not really in keeping!

i agree wendy my family love them both too, and i would be happy to spend a week there, i prefer the slides at BB, love the pool best at TL, and am torn between the two, i think BB only just shades it, we went TL 4 times last oct as BB was closed the entire trip, if we had stuck to our original date the it would have been open

I had thought about going on our last trip as we had Ultimate Hoppers with the Fariytale Package (when they had the 7 nights for the price of 4 deal going on). DH didn't bring his suit tho and we never went.

we like to go if it fits into the schedule but my wife doesn't like sand so its always a bit of a drama... but the slides are cool.. I think our favourite is T.L just because of the huge waves

I've not been to any of the water parks. I don't want to be seen in public in a swim suit either. Plus, I can think of a million other things that I'd rather do at the parks.

We do visit the water parks, usually just for a few hours for the kids sake, but I very rarely swim, don't want people thinking they're in Sea World :whale:
I may have to test Stormalong Bay out though in October. :D

I did'nt want to go to the water parks from the swimming costume point of veiw, thought they may close the park due to an eclipse
But the kids were desperate to go so i put on my swimming costume,t shirt and sarong, found a dark corner and hid, then i realised what fun they were having and i was missing out, no one knew me, and i was'nt the only larger lad, so i stripped off the layers and stepped out into the sun
no announcement about the park closing due to an eclipse and had a fantastic time, even went on an enclosed tube ride and did'nt get stuck So go for it.....

The rides are more DS's thing than mine - I like the idea of the snorkelling and floating and waves - he of course is trying to tell me he wants to go on every scary ride going - mmmm! http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

been to BB once
i am not a great swimmer but liked the idea of the lazy river so we went on it only to get totally p'd off by some English teenage yobs constantly jumping, in not caring about if anyone was there , and then splashing everyone
i did want what it said a lazy river we gave up after about 1/2 hour
we now only buy a standard AP with no water park access

You shouldve seen me the last time i went, i was in the shallow end of the hotel pool and my friend was like doing laps around me. I do LIKE going into the water. I DONT like going into anything over say... 5 feet. Because im 5'2. and anything more aint gonna cut it

Apart from saving the world from the vision of yours truly in a swimsuit (not a wonderful sight!), I can't do anything that will bump my left leg or foot. That eliminates slides or anything where my feet dangle over the side of a tube/raft.
I live in a place where we average well over 300 days of sunshine per year, so lounging in the sun is unappealing.
Water parks are not a good value for me.

wouldnt want to get splinters from it taja
seriously then wps are not a good thing for you then are they, as all you could do is watch the world go by.
mostly we are always doing something all day at a wp, i cant just sunbathe all day that would drive me nuts, with mikey and jamie last trip we only saw them when they came back for food and drinks, they absolutley luv em. my sister went to spain a few years back and all she did was sunbathe the whole 14 days, what a waste of £4.5k IMHO yeah and 4.5k was ridiculous as well for spain, TA must of seen her coming

More on the order of creating a new ride, Mike! Shooting straight up as the pain penetrates my brain! 'Course the landing would be rather uncontrolled! :afraid:
Just one of those quirks in life that we adapt to, Mike. As long as I don't do anything stupid, I'm fine! :)

OMG, me too, Taja! It's my left one, too.
I stupidly went to Typhoon Lagoon with the kids and they begged me to go on the family raft ride. I went to the top with them and asked a CM (young, nubile, very athletic, obviously never had a fracture in her life) if it would jostle me at all, as I had a bad ankle and was still recovering from surgery. She told me it was tame as it was a 'family ride.' I went, and banged my leg so many times I was near tears at the bottom. My own stupidity of course. I stay off them now.
Now the Lazy Man River... that's a different story! Love those! :bounce:

Lazy river is about my speed!
I've gone on several of those at different resorts (not at WDW) and thoroughly enjoyed a few turns around the course! Relaxing and refreshing on a hot day!
Just wouldn't want to invest in a water park ticket for 30 minutes!

April 4th, 2005, 01:17
Slightly off topic, but have you ever noticed that most of the rides at WDW require that you enter and exit on the left side? Even those where there could be an option (Jungle Cruise comes to mind), they pretty much force everyone to the left. Couldn't get the CM on the Jungle Cruise to let me enter on the right in December, 2003 and I almost landed on my nose!
'Course, I almost did the same thing at MVMCP during the UOG meet in December, 2004 when exiting HM. Nearly scared everyone behind me to death! :afraid: The left ankle just decided it wasn't it the mood at that moment! :hehe:

I voted for TL , been there several times . I went to BB once with DS and although I had a good time with him , even went on Summit Plummet  , I felt it was more for kids his age . TL is my favorite, lazy river and the wave pool is fun . I'm not doing any water park this visit , but if I do it will be TL. :D
