We will be staying at POFQ for two weeks in May. We will be relying on Disney Transport, and as such will be transported direct to resort via bus/coach.

We would like to stock up on some essentials for the room e.g. milk/pop cereal etc. Is there anywhere we are going to be able to do this?

Doesn't matter if we have to pay over the odds for it, but is there a grocery type shop in resort at POFQ??

You'll be able to get a small selection of basic groceries in the resort store. Or if you want a bit more, catch a bus to Downtown Disney from where it's about a 15 minute walk to the Crossroads where there's a Goodings supermarket. Get pretty much everything here but at tourist oriented prices. If you more than just basics at a reasonable price then you'll need to catch a cab to the nearest Publix. Won't cost too much and might be worth the trip just to compare a US supermarket with your local Tesco. :D

Ok, sounds cool. Since we arrive on the Sunday (late afternoon / early evening) and aim to be at MK first thing onm Monday morning, I think the resort store will suffice to begin with. After this we may then head down to one of the other options you mentioned to stock up :D

Many thanks for that - another fear layed to rest :wiggle:

We always catch a taxi to walmart and stock up on everything. and i do mean everything !
We take our own breakfast cereal from home and if you buy the resort mugs you can fill them up with milk to go with the cereal :)

www.wegoshop.com is a good resource. You order items online and they will deliver to your resort. They are currently offering a 50% off the delivery fee (which is normally $15 for up to $100 order)

Looks good but how do you order a certain number of items ie 3 bags of potato chips in different flavours. Do i need to register to get a more specific choice

They do have a space for specific instructions so I would put the flavors there.

I'm not sure if www.netgrocer.com delivers to WDW. However, they do have a store directory on their site which shows you pictures, prices and sizes of products.

That sounds good as i only know alot of the products in the states by packaging not brands

Milk is NOT one of the items that you can refill your mug with.

Also Ad. the stores are open on Sunday also.

We usually take a trip to walmart and stock up on everything too! However we usually hire a car... if we didn't have a car I think one taxi trip there and back at the begining of the stay would be well worth it!

How are you getting to the resort? If you have a car service they will make a grocery stop for you at no additional charge. If you are doing a shuttle bus then this is not an option

We're going via bus layed on by Virgin Travel, so a stopoff won't be an option unfortunately :(

However, the advice everyone's given me so far will more than resolve this one :D
