OK, for the moment I'm putting the idea of staying on-site next year out of my head. I would only be able to afford Pop Century or the All Stars/Movies/etc. but for 4 of us for 2 weeks, I'd prefer to have a kitchenette in the room, which they don't seem to supply. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had stayed at any of these hotels on International Drive?
Enclave Suites
Radisson Barcelo
Crown Plaza
Quality Inn Plaza
Country Inn & Suites
Holiday Inn Int. Drive
Red Horse Inn

Is there a specific reason you are looking at hotels on International Drive? If not, there are several hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area that would fit your requirements.

The main reason for looking at I-Drive Johnie is because we won't have a car, and I just thought it was more convenient for going out at night, walking to shops etc. We actually stayed at HI Sunspree in LBV last time we were there, and liked the area, so if you have any suggestions for places in that area, I'll take them on board. Thanks.

Not having a car is a good reason :) I wouldn't stay on International Drive if I had a car. It's always so congested! Great for walking though.
The Lake Buena Vista area doesn't seem to be designed too well for walking. I've been to a Country Inn and Suites in another state and it was very nice. They offer a nice free breakfast too :)

It's funny that's the hotel you mentioned, because I'm leaning in that direction at the moment!! :) It looks nice in the travel company's brochure (don't they all!), so I must go off and check the web site. There's nothing like first-hand information though!

I stayed at a Country Inn and Suites too here in PA, and it was very nice. Now I know that doesn't mean it is the same in FL, but hopefully it is.

We have booked the enclave suites for January. Have stayed at Holiday Inn Int. Drive and also Quality Inn Plaza. Holiday Inn in my opinion was a cleaner better finned hotel than Quality Inn The quality Inn Plaza is very basic but then again all you do is sleep in the place. The pool is good and heated both had hairdryer and coffee making also microwave and fridge. The plaza wasn't as clean as the Holiday inn but thats just my opinion.
Quality Inn Plaza is neare the convention centre where as Holiday inn is close to wet and wild just over the road and down a bit so handy for walking too

Stayed in Holiday Inn, I Drive, Nov 96. Very nice, restaurant good, food good pool nice ect. Stayed at Quality Inn Plaza last Feb. Ok, restaurant nice, food nice, pool nice, room ok, clean enough, had a fridge, microwave, hairdryer ect. we got stuck with a room overlooking the I-4, so it was quite noisy. Staying at the Best Western Movieland (right across from Wet 'n' Wild) this year, it has had some good reviews on various sites and the pics look good. Understand it was fully refurbished last year. A lot of these hotels are featured on the holiday channels in their Florida/Orlando shows. (Sky travel, tv travelshop, thomas cook tv ect). Might be worth you having a look at them too.

We stayed at Best Western Plaza last march and were very impressed, great location on i drive, next to a small supermarket, friendlys and ponderosa restuarants and a small gift shop. I trolley stopped outside, we seemed to be fairly central on i drive, the only downside was the shuttle service.

Ive heard good things and bad things about enclaves but any bad things seem to be from americans so i have an open mind about it.

Just slightly up on the lefthand side you can see a little tower with a blue roof. That is the Best Western Movieland.

Have you tried www.tripadvisor.com (http://www.tripadvisor.com) They are listing 45 reviews for your hotel.
