Staying at a Resort

Do you get a lanyard when staying in a resort or will we need to purchase one? We are going to get one at walmart or target if we need to get one but dont want to waste the money if they give them to you. Please help if you can.

We stayed at the Polynesian and MIL at POFQ in Dec. and we didn't get them. We bought one from a Disney pin stand and one from US AP office

I've never gotten a free lanyard.....free pins yes, but no lanyard.

You used to get a Lanyard with some of the old resort packages they had out. Don't know whether you do with the new MYW Packages. I haven't read it anywhere. :shrug:

I received 2 lanyards with 2 pins when staying at CSR last November but that would probably have been the old resort package.

You can purchase some really nice ones from the WDW shops and pin stations.

we got a lanyard and 2 pins when we were at ASMo in August, I think that was because of the package we were on though........

Do they sell lanyards at Wal-Mart or Target? I guess I haven't gone to ones in Orlando to see what they have. :shrug:

You can buy lanyards at Walmart & such but I think they are a lot thinner straps & probably not made as well. I would hold off & buy one at WDW as they have some really cute ones. Plus they have the ones that give you 4 starter pins so you can begin trading right away. You will pay more but I think you will like them better.
I know nothing about any packages as I've never used one, sorry.

We received 2 lanyards and 2 pins, on both trips... with the ultimate hopper package... so I suppose it depends on what package you buy

We also had an extra feature, which we used to have our faces featured in the leave a legacy thingy...lol....

You can also buy lanyards at any resort shop, and at any pin trading shop inside Disney

BTW.. the lanyards we got were black, so if you want a nicer colour you will have to buy it

We also got two lanyards and two pins. We got exactly the same things Marigivi. Maybe it has soemthing to do with booking through AAA? or it could just be the Dream maker package?
