We're looking into getting two way radios. Does anybody have a suggestion of what kind and where to get them? Will they actually work good in the parks? :D

On our last trip, we bought a pair of uniden walkie talkies from walmart, theres 30 channels on them, so we could always find an empty channel to keep in contact with the other members of our party. There is I think a 10 mile reach with them, although we didn't test them to the limit. I think that they were around $50, I'm not 100% sure on that one though, as it wasn't my money paying for them, lol. But walmart seemed to have a good selection to choose from.

I have two way Disney princess radios . If you want them , PM me your address and I will send them to you . They worked for us when DS and his fiance went and we needed to keep in touch . Don't know if I still have the book , probably somewhere , I'll look .

We had the Mickey walkie talkies. They worked fine in every park but MK. Just too many people using them in MK I suppose. I sold ours on ebay. Cell phones are much easier to use.

I'm the only one in the relationship with a cell phone and to use them done there would cost me a fortune.

oh no doubt FD. The walkie talkies should be fine everywhere but MK might be tricky. Try to find a walkie talkie that has a lot of channels.

hmmm....I just bought a set of 2 way radios at best buy over the weekend. I got the cheapest ones we could find. ($20) They worked when we tested them at home. I just hope they will work in the parks.
We do have our Cell Phones if worse comes to worse.

For our December trip to WDW we bought the cheapest pair Wal Mart had for $17, uniden I think. They worked OK but a few times it seemed like there was a lot of interference in the signal:-(. Also these things ate up batteries, after the 3 set of energizers we gave up on them altogether. Maybe the more expensive ones work better?
