DD's class has been reading Alice in Wonderland and tomorrow will be having a tea party and watching the movie. I'm supposed to bring in cookies for the party. Any suggestions for some creative cookies or confections??

No Wonderland Teaparty should be without them. :D

Small pastry case filled with strawberyy jam/jelly. Very English. :hehe:

Does it have to be cookies?
How about little marzipan or fondant dormice?

Heart shaped jam tarts?

Cookies or gingerbread shaped like playing cards with hearts on?

Thank you Joanne! I could not remember fondant to save my life. That's kind of what I'd like to do..... My inner Martha Stewart wants to play...lol

We call it Sugarpaste....what would that be called in the US?

You can cover a cake with it or mould it into figures/animals etc.

Dormice was the best I could come up with :hehe:
White rabbit might be a bit too tricky.
Or maybe the Mad Hatter's hat done in mini fondants?

The Queen of Hearts,
She made some tarts
All on a summer's day.

The Knave of Hearts,
He stole the tarts
And took them clean away.

The King of Hearts,
Called for the tarts
And beat the Knave full sore.

The Knave of Hearts,
Brought back the tarts
And vowed he'd steal no more.

I think it's going to be tarts for me.... I've been reading up on fondant and marzipan and I just don't have time to maked them and let them cure.... Oh well!

LOL No tart recipes, sorry! But the idea of card-shaped and decorated cookies sounds cute!
