some teens might've "outgrown" this disney theme park tradition. i know i haven't. i'd like to get some of your opinions. my friends are all party poopers.
oh and share who your favorite character meeting was, too.

Outgrow? Disney World? I don't think it is possible! I love WDW, and luckily my friends are not party poopers and I have been able to talk them into going down to WDW w/ me after graduation. My favorite character to meet was definitley Pooh Bear. My family and I ate at Crystal Palace just so I could meet Pooh, and Eeyore hugged me while I was in the buffet line!

I still enjoy seeing the characters even though my teenage years are now a distant memory. I like to see the reaction in the faces of the small children when they meet the characters, many of whom get very excited.
I guess one of my favourite memories is meeting Mickey Mouse who visited a wedding on Disney property last year which I attended. He was there for ages and made sure that everyone had ample photo opportunities. His inter reaction with the kids there was a joy to see.

I'm with you, Slowhand! I'm long past my teenage years, yet, I love seeing the characters and getting photos! It's so nice to be a kid again when I'm at Disney.
I'm sorry your friends think they have outgrown the "Magic". When you are at WDW, forget you are a teenager. Forget the outside world and just enjoy the opportunity you have to be there!
Meeting Mickey is also my favorite character meeting. There's nothing like being hugged by Mickey!

Me too! It would be great coming into work everyday to work as a character. I would want to be Pooh or a Princess! I think that I will look into that disney colege program. I wouldn't mind picking up trash if I was in WDW!! :D

I think it depends on the teen, I enjoy seeing the characters as well as my friends did, but if the teen is not into going to disney for it being disney (they just want the rides) then they may not get into seeing the characters.

I think this is so funny. We adore these characters growing up. Then around
the preteen age its like "Oh this is for little kids" Then around 17 - up , we
go back to loving the characters. How funny!!

I still love meeting the characters, it's fun when your older. On a recent trip to DL, my three friends and i stood in line to meet Belle. We got up there and sang for her (since we were with the choir and all), and then we took a picture. I blurted out "Evan wants to stand by you!" and Cierra then cut in "Yeah, he's had a crush on you since he was like, four!" Also when I was a WDW, the characters will flirt with you, it's hilarious. You can NEVER outgrow them. Ever.

Its funny because I've always loved meeting the characters and now I am playing a Peanuts character at a local theme park ( shhhh, Im actually not supposed to tell anyone b/c it might ruin the peoples views of the character?)

My daughter is 15 1/2, she is so excited about our next trip! Easter Bunny brought her a princess autograph book for the occasion. She will add this one to her collection of autograph books. I just assumed everyone ages 8 months to 80 ran after characters and got autoghraphs! :wiggle:

Even reading those mouse tails books didnt put me off. I just read that and I agree it would be great fun! Only problem is I'm inbetween heights, so i'd either need to shrink an inch or grow 3 inches by the time i'm in collage
