 :Please: Hi all. My wife and I are going to Disney in early May for our anniversary. We have been there a couple of times and wanted to do something different. We talked about taking one of the behind the scenes tours but we were not sure which to take. The keys to the kingdom was looking good but I wanted to send it out to y'all before we made a decision. Any ideas or comments??

I've taken both the Keys to the Kingdom and the Segway tours. I cannot recommend either enough. I had so much fun on both of them. For a more "behind the scenes" tour, you cannot go wrong with Keys. It's awesome!

The Backstage Safari at AK is also great. But I'll concur with JM and say you can't go wrong with either the Keys or the Segway tours.

My DH & I are also going in May for our anniversary. We have booked our first tour & we picked Keys to the Kingdom because MK is our favorite park. We have been several times know & would love to know some of the behind the scenes info on our favorite place to go when we are at Disney World.

Have a great & fun anniversary!

DW and I have also thought about doing keys to the kingdom, it sounds great. Just would like to know if photography is allowed on the tour?

I was really wondering how people with children do a guided tour.
We would really like doing one of the 16+ tours, but our son is only 2 years old. Is it possible to bring a todler with us?

Many tours are age restricted Gwendolyn, so you may not be able to bring your little one.

Tours are booked calling the WDW TOUR number I believe (407 area code).

By calling 1-407-WDW-TOUR (1-407-939-8687).

Another vote for Keys to the Kingdom. It was a fascinating tour and, even though we had been to MK many times, we still learnt new facts.

I loved Keys to the Kingdom, and we did it for our anniversary last year. I think it was brilliant (there's a report of it in my trip reports - link in signature - if you're interested).

As for booking, DH booked it at the hotel (we were on site) a couple of days before. That was in high season, so getting a place doesn't seem to be a problem.

*Bump*

Back on my trip in May, I did both the Segway tour and the Keys to the Kingdom tour. I did the Segway tour with my dad and had a blast. He won't let me get one to ride around campus though :-( My parents did the Keys tour while I watched my sister, and they wouldn't stop talking about it, so I told them to book me. I was a little skeptical about going alone, but I had a great time. Our tour guide was great and would answer just about any question. The tour itself is highly scripted, so all of the tours are about the same. I was worried about it "killing" some of the magic for me, but it wasn't that way at all. Actually, I think it made me appreciate Disney that much more!
