Ocean visit

My family is planning on visiting WDW in January 2006 for about 1 week. My husband would like to take a day or two and visit the ocean. Are there any tours that will take us there and bring us back for a day? How far away is the closest ocean beach? Thanks for your help.

Is hiring a car an option for you? If so you might find it good to do so - that way you can stop where you like and explore at your own pace. If not, we're not too sure about tours, but I'm sure someone will be along to help with that!

We've been to Clearwater Beach (West of Orlando) and to Cocoa Beach (East of Orlando)... both were beautiful beaches, but we think we liked Clearwater more - we found more to do around there. If you get a chance, watch the sunrise and sunset - they're gorgeous!

They both took about an hour and a half to get there.

Daytona is about a hour to hour and a half from orlando. We usually stay at Daytona and drive over for the day. But February 2006 we are just going to disney for 7 days only.
