How do you go about getting insurance for people with health problems? I need to know for my Dad for a start- he had a heart attack last year and got diagnosed with diabetes and a friend of mine's daughter is disabled- i forget what it's call but her brain is growing out of her skull and she needs a wheelchair. The doctors told the parents they wouldn't be able to get insurance to go further afield than Europe but there must be somewhere that would insure them.
they bought a timeshare in orlando 4 years ago and haven't been able to use it because she couldn't fly up until now so i want to do all i can to help them

Try here (http://www.chartwellinsurance.co.uk/) or give Age Concern a call (they insure any age)
Travelcare.co.uk also cover pre-existing if you call them.

We recently got insurance with the Post Office which covered my daughter's pre-existing condition, she has ME. We had to call a special screening phone number and then they decided whether they would cover the condition and how much the premium was. Unfortunately we have just had to claim on the insurance as we have had to cancel our trip in April because my daughter is not well enough to fly. The insurance paid out without any trouble within 5 days of putting in a claim.
