I am begining to worry that I may have made a bad decision and really looking for some reassurnace. I have arranged our holiday to Florida and we leave 4 weeks today. I have arranged for a group of us and we are arriving in Florida on the 11th April. I know that Easter is 25/28 March this year and I was hoping it would be a bit quieter. Now worried it will be packed with spring breakers and the weather will be cold. Everyone is so keen to do water parks!
Please help put my mind at rest!

Rest assured, coming from Essex, you won't find it cold! :sunny: As for the crowds, well, I'll sit back and wait for an expert to advise you. :)

It will not be cold, its very really cold anytime of year in Florida and we went start of may a few years back and it was in the 100's so I dont think it will jump that much with only a week or so difference so rest assured it will be hot enough for waterparks..... As regards spring break and stuff well the way i see it most months have one reason or another not to go.. i.e may we were told the college kids break up well it was fine and we were told the place would be full of school trips doing there end of term thing and again no problems. In june last year it said it would be really busy because the U.S was on summer holidays and again it was busy but fine... It always seems to be a bad month to go for one reason or another I mean even Sept/Oct is supposed to be quiet but then you get the storms. I just wouldn't worry to much. If it's busy then you just use fastpass and get a good plan of what your doing. ITS NEVER A BAD TIME TO VISIT

:sigh: You have the nicest names for places in England. :sigh:
You'll be fine in April. The weather will most likely be perfect for you (although it is weather remember, and She has a mind of her own) and some water park swimming sounds reasonable to me.
There may be a storm or two, or not. The temps will be getting warmer and the humidity will be creeping up, so do plan to have some very comfortable clothing with you. Think loose, thin cotton or other natural fiber. Don't forget the seriously comfortable shoes either!
Have a grand time!

we went in April two years ago and the weather was just perfect. We didn't have one spot of rain for two weeks. That's no guarantee tho lol! as for crowds if you get to the parks early and have a plan then you should be able to see everything you want to. Keep reading the boards and you'll carry on getting fantastic tips. Have a fab time

Thank you guys, you have all put my mind really at ease. These boards really are the biggest help when planning, you are all so helpful. Wish I had more information to give! Such a fab job done by you all.
ukwdwnut we went to the Robin Hood on Mothers day-small world! lovely little pub in the summer. Quite built up in that area now which is a shame. They have built a whole estate of bungalows looking very Florida like with a name plaque as you enter. Nice idea except all built one on top of the other! One thing you do not get in the states! and starting prices 299,999.00 for a two bedroom!!!

Hi Bozzly,
What a small world!!
We actually fly to NYC on the 8th and then to Orlando on the 11th. So excited! This board is really useful! Big family trip? Who you flying with?
Have you been before? Questions questions!
ukwdwnut Parking everywhere around here is a nighmare now, it is easiest to go to a carpark than try and find parking on the road!

ukwdwnut well if you ever need somewhere to park you are welcome to park on our driveway and walk from there. It is only a 15 minute walk to the town if you know the shortcuts! We are off St Johns road - the one with the firestation, so not to far when you no where you are going.
And yup will def have a super trip!! Only 25 days!

Hiya,
This is a trip for me my husband my sister and her other half. He came of his motorbike not long ago and is in a cast which he can't fly with. We only find out if he can fly the week we go so everything is crossed at the mo! we went in March 2002 then Sept 2003 and this will be our third time - we got the bug! we stayed on the 192 the first time and really is a great location! Old town is great to see the old cars a couple of times a week! And if you want a scare the bungee ball thing was great, but v.scary stuff!! we are in a villa of the 192 this time. Works out best for us for due to numbers. Have you got a car? Best way to see as much as possible if you are not on site! Are you driving to Gatwick? I am using an excellent cab firm if you need a recommendation!
I know the time is going so slow! Hoping it won't be to busy Easter being out of the way and school holidays being over with!

my nephew went on the skycoaster, its 300ft high did you know  jeez to high for me, imo dont get the video its a waste of money(my film was better that i did) as there is no sound with it, do it yourself if you are going on it

Well I kinda felt guilted into it because I thought it sat three and it only sat 2 so I felt bad that my BIL could not go on with the other 2. I have a fear of going upside down but before I knew it I was sitting in the seat. Well to say I was scared was an understatement the video was so funny and drew one big crowd!! All I kept saying was please don't let it go upside down, so when it was finished and we were getting ready to get of the guy flipped it upside down - well the screams from me were pretty unbelievable!! Therefore my husband insisted on buying the tape just to remind me!! I was very proud of myself for going on and my BIL loved it to bits! Oh and there was sound on ours, thats what made it soooooo funny!

Are we posssibly thinking of 2 different things. I am thinking of the one where you are sitting upright side by side in a ball thing with elastic which stretches down and you are pinged up, that one def took no more than two. Is the sky coaster the one where you are three lying down and pulled back by your feet and then let go so you swing really high?
