Well last year we were there from August 15th to 25th, and in 2001 we were there September 5th to 27th, so hope I can help.
Was very hot and humid with thunderstorms in the afternoons. These lasted about half an hour usually and wasn't enough to spoil a day. Only once did it not stop and we decided to stay in for the evening.

Ok, that I forgot.........
We were so lucky last year, we seemed to be there the only 10 days in August which didn't have a hurricane, we were right in the middle of them......

Since that is the time that I normally go...you can expect from around 3-5 thunderstorms in the afternoon. They are strong and heavy, but only last about an hour. The mornings are humid, but wonderful to sit on the balcony and drink your coffee before you head out to the parks. Evenings can vary from humid to comfy. I would take a light weight jacket for nights and get a poncho for the afternoon storms. Everyday at Disney is great..even in a Hurricane (been there done that)

hi have been twice 02,03 both in mid august as above but used to look forward to the thunder storm as it was both spectacular and also used to clear the air for the evening

Hi!
Well, when I went last year with my family (26/08/04 to 09/09/04), we had nice weather, hot and humid mostly and the occasional rain and thunderstorm, but sadly near the end of holiday we encountered Hurricane Frances  We really didnt expect that! Afterall, we thought after Charley all the hurricanes were over, they had only just begun! Those hurricanes were so destructive! And my prayers go to all the families who were affected by them  But thankfully we got by ok, we just had to stock up on suppiles and emergency items (can openers, torches, first-aid kits etc.) And had to stay in for a couple of days, no hardship really compared to some people's accounts of Hurricane Frances
Oh well, I've rambled on for long enough, hope I've helped a bit :p

We've been three times in August and are going again this year. It's sunny and hot in the morning, hotter in the afternoon till the cloud comes over at about 4pm. The rain and thunder usually hits at about 5pm for 90 minutes or so and then it's really pleasant for the night time activities. We've had the odd day of total rain but they've been few and far between and we've just put ponchos on and gone to the parks anyway. The rides are empty so it's great!

We have been in August on two occasions. In '00 the weather was great but when we went in '02 we had several days where it rained most of the day and put quite a damper on the holiday, unfortunately!
This year we are going in July and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will be good again.
To be fair, from the five times we have been we have only had bad weather the once.
Good Luck,
