OK here's the deal. Most airlines let you checkin 2 bags per person. For my family for 4, that's 8 bags. We're heavy packers, so we normally will fill 2 bags per person. Being a member of DVC, this has been curtailed some because of the washer/dryer in the room, but you get the picture.

So we bring 7 or 6 bags (full) and then we have 1 or 2 duffle bags stored inside of these bags. These are the cheap vinyl duffle bags that you can get at walmart or target. No wheels or anything, but they can be huge. That way, you have enough room to put all of your souveneirs!

I think everybody should try it- much better than trying to shove all of your gifts into your already-full suitcases.

I do something similar when I go visit my grandmother. I always come home with a heck of a lot more than what I go up there with. always a good tip thought! (and FYI - Song lets you check 3 bags)

jeez how much clothing do you need there

we do that anyway, but only take one case each for the kids, and me and DW share a big one, as we always stay at a villa we would have to rent a 12 str van to get the # cases you take back to the villa  we always buy new clothes out there as its much cheaper

A great tip! We will need all the room we can get because we are going for two weeks and very heavy packers.
