Disney Cruise Line Announces 2006 Theme Park Ticket Changes

This is for any cruise already booked for 2006 or new bookings for travel in 2006

With the introduction of Magic Your Way tickets at the Walt Disney World Resort, many cruise guests have indicated that they would like the option of purchasing the various features associated with this new ticketing plan. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that Disney Cruise Line Land & Sea Vacation packages commencing on or after January 1, 2006 will include a full 7-Day Magic Your Way ticket with the Park Hopper option regardless of the number of nights spent at the Disney Resorts.

The Magic Your Way ticket is valid for 14-days from the date first used and will provide guests with admissions to the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park with park hopping privileges throughout their resort stay. Guests will have the added benefit of enjoying an extra 2 or 3 days in the parks after their 7-night Land & Sea Vacation package. Plus guests who have booked pre-nights as a part of their Disney Cruise Line vacation package will be able to visit the parks with this ticket from the moment they arrive.

In addition, if guests choose to purchase the Magic Your Way No Expiration Option, they can save their unused Theme Park days for their next trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. They can also choose to add the Magic Your Way Magic Plus Pack, which includes their choice of five (5) admissions to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island, and Disney's Wide World of Sports complex. The No Expiration and Magic Plus Pack add-ons can be purchased at the Front Desk of the Resort at check-in or anytime within 14-days of first usage

so all prices on the dcl website from 2006 include 7 day hoppers per person then?

does this mean if i go on a 4 day cruise and then 3 day on land if i move to another hotel offsite i can still use my magic your way ticket for the rest of the 4 days?

thanks

That is correct as long as they are used within 14 days of the first day of use or the no expiration option is purchased. But you need to be on a land/sea package that requires you to do the land portion first then the cruise

Johnie they have them for the whole of 2006, i was looking last night- it seems quite reasonable.

do they ever run specials on the DCL?

transport to the cruise- is the price they quote on the website for bus transfer or private car- it seems expensive for bus transfer

britchick - With cruises the earlier you book the better the discount. The closer you get to the sailing date the higher the price gets, this is because as the ship fills up the prices go up

Transfers are by Disney bus shuttle and cost $59 per person round trip. Port Canaveral is about one hour away from Orlando

I would suggest going on Travelocity and looking at the rates for the DCL land and Sea package and then find a travel agent who will honor those rates, That is what we have done the last 2 yrs an it has saved a lot of money. Also there are different options on how to get to the Port. Go on allearsnet.com and look under Cruise line and then under planning all of the different options are layed out there. Last year we rented a van for $32 a day and drove to the port turned it in, and then got one when we returned for a similar price . a lot cheaper than $120 for all four of us, However the bus is very convienent and easy. Your decision!
