i read somewhere that they photo labs on WDW property were being replaced by kiosks or something to that nature where you can upload your digital camera memory cards to CD. They didn't say what the fee for this service was. Does anyone know? I wanted to avoid bringing the laptop.

We did see a few of these shops in WDW parks a couple of months back.....but they were charging about 3 times the amount of doing the same thing at one of the Wallgreens shops on International Drive.
I don't know if you are staying on or offsite and if you have a car or not Andrea but, if you can get to I. Drive, it is worth the savings. There are at least 3 Wallgreens on I. Drive and they are open 24 hours. They charge $3.99 including small printouts of the photos along with the CD.
Hope this helps a little :)

Do you know of anywhere on International Drive that we can download some of our photo's and email them back home -- do Walgreens do that too?

I haven't seen anywhere to e-mail them but Walgreens, Target, Wal-Mart etc. all have machines to put your images onto CD

We were using an internet cafe just off Sand Lake Road but last visit it had closed down. Will ask dh when he gets out of bed (he is poorly at the moment) if there was another nearby

Thanks. :D

My other half is suffering from 'man flu' at the moment and is being unbelievably pathetic. He keeps sighing to himself and looking really sorry for himself -- needless to say I have no sympathy at all.

What a great idea - I've got a Sony Camera which saves pics onto a magic stick - does anyone know whether you are able to download the pictures from a magic stick?

Cant believe that it is on $3.99 - we are ripped off in this country!

I paid about £5 in the photo shop in MGM (right hand side when you go in) to download my Memorystick pro to CD. You egt an index card too. you need to get there first thing as the stuff is sent to Epcot at 10 and is back by 1 for you to collect. You can do this at Epcot too - over by the main Entrance, although the chap there suggested it would take 6 hours to do.
In MK they told me to use the machine myself but there were 8 people waiting.

MY DD just got a new digital camera this week. We leave in 13 days for Disney. Can anyone tell me how much it costs to download at the kiosoks? How many pictures fit on one CD? She is a big scrapbook fanatic and wants to be sure she will get ALL her photos home with her. :wiggle:

it should be the price of the CD.I dont know how much they cost, but i do know that we at target charge $3.99 each, im not sure how many fit on one CD. I think it depends on how many mega pixles.
