Hi All

my DD wants to buy a printer to print her price lists for her part time beauty therapy mobile business that she is going to start up in a few months in conjuction with her job, once she gets some more clients, she will need a duplexer attached for double sided printing as she has done a wonderful piece in publisher and is handing them out to customers, they are folded like the chinese takeawy menus, know what i mean :) the problem is which printer. i have heard rumours that HP have put something in place in some if not all their new printers that disables the cartridges after a certain amount of time forcing you to but new ones, but i dont know how true this is. she wants good quality but affordable and possibly cartridges that you can refill yourself, alhough i work in IT i dont know much about the latest inkjet printers as all i normally work with is HP laserjets.

so if anyone has any owns/experience of a printer with a duplexer, any help would be much appreciated

mick :D

Sorry, 'Nut! LOL

I wish I could help you with your printer problem, but when I purchase printers it is mostly for the purpose of scrapbooking and photo printing...

All I know is DON"T buy a Lexmark. I've never had any good luck with them.

i wouldnt anyway, they are the cheap end of the market, a subsiduary of IBM, i think well they used to be, last time i heard

i need something a bit robust that will do the job of quite a few printouts, but she has limited budget i might just tell her to get a HP or Epson with a duplexer as i've seen a couple sub £100 and just take pot luck
