Hello there,

I'm new to this, so please forgive any errors! (Great place of info btw - I'm hooked!)

Just a couple of quickies - off to Fort Wilderness cabins in May & wondered if I can visit any other WDW resorts whilst I'm there, & use their facilities? The pools at FW campground don't look hugely toddler friendly & I have a 1 & a 2 year old. Would love to use say the Caribbean or Wilderness Lodge pools rather than Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach ( are the latter good for young kids?). Are you allowed to swim at another resort? Also do you need beach towels or does the hotel provide them?

Secondly for anyone with 2 young ones - double stroller or 2 singles. Have been humming & haahing for ages. If 2 singles, any recommendations of brand/type?

Thanks for your help - can't wait, but also wondering if I am crazy & shouldn't have waited till they're 10!

Unless you are a DVC member you cannot hop pools. The only other exception to this are "sister" resorts (All-Stars and Port Orleans)

Don't hesistate - have fun. They are only this young once, and you're probably already used to taking things slow and at their pace, and there is NOTHING on this world more precious that a Pooh hugging wee ones. You're going to ahve a blast.

On the stroller issue, I would recommend a double. When you're in the thick crowds, just a hunch, but I would gather the kids would get a bit more protection from the 'tall ones' from a double wide.

Oh, and I've *heard* that if you ask very nicely at the front desk at Ft. Wilderness, you might be able to use the kiddie pool at Wilderness Lodge. It is handled on a Guest by Guest basis.

It could be embarasing to get caught, but odds are slim

as a DVC member I know that during busy times they doo ask for room keys before you enter the pool area. The quiet pool behind the WLV for dvc guests also when very busy they will ask for room keys. The main pool at the WL has predominatly 3 entrances and when peak times call for it they station pool staff & check your room ey & give arm bands to wear. this holds true at the Yacht & Bech Club as well as the Boardwalk.

If you want to sneek in:

My advise is the WLV quiet pool, very quiet, very small but large in its own way and gets missed by guests so not always busy.

Re buggies we too have an almost 1 year old (but walking) and a 2 and a half year old. We are taking our double buggy for the parks rather than two singles as it means that only one of you has to push (abiet a rather heavy load). The villa where we are staying has two single buggies included and we plan to use these on non-park days carrying the smaller buggy folded up under the bigger one when one of the children wants to walk.

Good Luck with your trip!
