Have I got it right?

I am going to Orlando in 4 weeks, 1 week at the vistana village and then 1 week at the Alden Beach. We are 2 adults and 3 daughters 13, 12 and 6 yrs. I have prepaid hotels and park tickets (except MK). We have $300 per day for food and gifts, but will be using apt. for breakfast. Do you think that we will manage on $$'s budgeted. We have a hire car so will need to pay for petrol.
I look forward to any help, reassurance or suggestions.

I think you're more than covered. Depends on how crazy you go with gifts tho, huh :wink:. Remember gas (petrol) is much cheaper here than across the pond. (However, as you'll see from other posts, we are complaining at the moment about some of the highest prices ever.)

Just noticed and have a question, you say you have prepaid hotel and park tickets except MK. Do you not have WDW tickets yet?

We have flex tickets and discovery cove, and we will be doing MK but believe that they can only be bought on the gate. As we are spending only 1 week in Orlando I think that this will be as many parks as we can manage!!

I did a quick quote at the WDW site and it looks like it'll be just about $306 for tickets for the 5 of you for the one day just for one park. As long as you budget wisely, you should still be OK with what you have planned.

Sorry to sound so surprised. It's just most people on the boards spend most of their time at WDW and spend extra time at the other parks. Hey, everyone's idea of the perfect vacation is different. :thumbs: Good thing too, otherwise it would be boring, and WDW would be to full to enjoy.

That was really kind of you to find the ticket prices, much appreciated.
One reason for not doing all the parks first time is that I would have a real good excuse to go back!!
We were supposed to go originally on 15th September 2001 and for obvious reasons could not so this is a long awaited trip.
