Hello,
Have decided (I think) to take my double stroller for my 2 toddlers rather than 2 singles, as I have car hire included, so will not be using the WDW buses. Probably will take the boat from Fort Wilderness to MK though.
Please could you advise me of problems I may have with accessibility. Stroller is very light, 30 inches wide, but quite bulky when folded (not umbrella type, just folds flat). Will I be able to get it on the monorail, boats OK? Do you get the kids out to queue & park the stroller, or do the strollers go down the lines? Would I be able to take it on the railroad (folded). Will I be able to get into shops or restaurants. Also any idea's how accessible Seaworld is?
What a lot of queries. Help greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks
Kate

Access to monorails and boats will be fine - you'll need to have the stroller folded and ready though.
If you mean the lines for the attractions then you need to park the stroller in the marked areas and the kids have to get out and stand in line with you.
No strollers allowed on the railroad, just leave the stroller at the station and do the full circuit.
Most shops you should be fine. A lot of the restaurants have they're tables very close together so expect to have to collapse the stroller here.
Seaworld is pretty much the same as the other parks. Designated stroller parking at the attractions.

Hi kasia , our experience of the stollers you refer to you will have absolutly no problems ,but can not take on rides ,but you might like to know in every WDW park you can hire a single or a double stroller
cost in 02 $14 double for a whole day $7 for a single, if going on rides there are stroller parking bays so as you can enjoy the rides , you will find these not far from the entrances in each park they turned out to be a must for us ,as an example these strollers are just like the one's in our shopping malls ,our grandchildren had enough room in them to sleep .
Hope this has been of some assistance enjoy

We went last year with our 2 1/2 yr old and 12 month old and took our tandem double stroller, we stayed at POR and had no trouble taking our stroller on the bus or boat. You do have to fold it up before bording, which can be an inconvienence, and I a definately thankful for a strong husband. We did take our stroller on the train from Toon town to the other side, Frontierland? We saw no sign posted and the train conductor helped us get it on the train. If your stroller is a double wide stroller, it will be very difficult to get it thru the shops, That is why we opted to take ours instead of renting one. you always see one parent on the sidewalk waiting with the kids while the other one is shopping, Sea World was easier than Disney but you have to park your stroller to go into any attraction, even the walk thru ones so if your children are tired be prepared for that. We felt very safe leaving our stroller parked everywhere.

Hi Mark's friend...
We are going on Tuesday also with our 11mth year old (now walking) and 2 1/2 year old. We are taking a very narrow double buggy (umbrella type).
Any tips for Disney with two kids of that age? How did you find it?

One suggestion, regarding the stroller. Tie colorful streamer to the handle, tape it up with neon reflective tape, attach a high flying flag to the handle bar, anything like that to make yours stand out. CM's tend to move strollers around (for organization) whilst you are on the ride/attraction, and your stroller is not always where you left it. This will make finding it alot easier.

Our daughter was walking too thankfully because they are going to want to get down and run around, we found Toon town to be wonderful for this, We probably spent an hour in Minnie's house because they can just run around and play with all this stuff. Let them get wet in the Donald's boat fountains, and take a lot of snacks. We also booked a priority seating at Crystal Palace during the spectromagic parade time (cast member/friend suggestion) and it was the most fun that we had. The restaurant was almost empty, and the characters were very playful Tigger and my son 2 1/2 had a push-up contest in the middle of the floor. The waiter also told us to go out on the porch and he would hold our table for us while we watched Wishes. It was a wonderful location and no waiting for ever with kids. Let your little ones approach the characters on their own and don't force it or they might be scared. We took them on every ride they could go on, you never know what ones they will like. My son's favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean, who would of thought that, We are going back in May, and that is all he talks about. Don't miss the Goofy's Jamboree, I know it has been refurbished and has a new name, but it was a blast with little ones and a respite from the heat! yes! it is airconditioned. We went really hard in the morning and then went back to the resort each afternoon around 3pm so we missed most of the parades, but the little ones needed a nap and then we would come back to the parks at night and catch one of the shows. Make sure and check Playhouse Disney's schedule out because when we were there, it ended early in the afternoon so our plan of catching it when we came back into the parks didn't work out. Just have fun and take a lot of pictures, The kids may not remember much, but I always tell people they will have some awesome pictures in their scrapbooks of their vacations, to conclude be prepared to become hooked on Disney because when you see the excitement and awe of in your children, you can't wait to take them back so that they and you can experience it again.:wiggle:

Thanks for the info - we will definately check out Minnie's house. Glad to hear that you had a good time - think people think we are mad taking children so young and I was worried that as you are not paying for them, then there is nothing for them to do.
I have already planned to return to the Villa for lunch and naps for the children - but doubt they will make it through till 3 in the afternoon as they will already be trying to cope with a 6 hr time change from home (Switzerland) - we are expecting some early mornings!
It is also our first time at Disney (or Disiney as my son calls it) so we are very excited and not really sure what too expect.
We are also planning our return trip, probably in two years time just before my daughter turns three (ie so at least she gets in free).

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the great information. Have definitely decided on the double stroller now - that way at least I won't be pushing a pram the whole time.
Swissfamrivers - have a great trip, good luck with the flights. When we went to Barbados in January the kids woke between 4.30 & 5.00am, so I guess you will be in for some early ones!
