This year will be my first at a water park, so I was wondering what should I bring? I was thinking of getting a water proof disposable camera, but then where to keep it? Same with my ticket and money, where do you store those items? Thanks :D

You can rent a locker at the parks, and you should take something to drink (no alcohol or glass) and maybe a little something to eat if you don't want to pay high prices for the things. You also might want to take your own towels, if you don't want to pay to rent them. :)

i agree with josette with the towel thing and lockers but ive never rented one to be honest, i have even left my old video camera and money unattended before with no problems you can buy a drinks bottle there and top ups are free, i think they are around $9 and you can re-use them on different days for a token fee as well :D

Have used lockers in the past on on last two visits didn't bother as I could not be bothered queuing for them. Bought a handy little waterproof container to go around neck to keep tickets, money and car keys in. Left everything else in cool box on sun bed (including digital camera) Had no problems, bought the container at the airport, they Also sell them at the water parks

I think renting a locker is the way to go for peace of mind, I'm not sure I'd go down Nut's route of leaving things unattended! I don't leave anything to chance, even if it is Disney :) There were 2 of us and we rented a small one and literally only just about got our stuff in it though, so I'd recommend going for a large one.
Our waterproof disposable cameras had a little strap on them so we could just put them on our wrists, keep them with us and not really worry about holding on to them.
The refillable drinks bottles you can buy there I think are great. They are the same price as the ones you'd buy as souvenirs in the parks so with the unlimited refills, it makes it a good deal!

Are bikinis alright to wear in the parks?

You're not going to want to wear a 2-piece of you plan on doing the slides. I brought a bag with all my gear and a change of clothes and had minimal money with me. I did get the meal deal when I walked in though

I wore a bikini in Spain in the water parks. I dont see the danger. There should be anything to rip off the swimwear should there?

I was too chicken to wear a bikini just in case...if they're secure enough then really there shouldn't be much difference to wearing a cozzie, but some of the flumes are quite good at re-arranging your swimwear! I can't remember the name of the big steep slide at BB, but there wasn't a single person to come off it who didn't need to adjust themselves somehow!!

Make sure it's good material, when I was younger I used to wear out the seat of my swimming costume from going down so many flumes!!

Thanks! I was getting really annoyed with myself last night as I was having such a mental block over it, I didn't want to give in and look it up as I knew I knew it...well 3 hours later I finally remembered!

The first time I saw that slide I thought, where does it go to? because looking at it from the ground it looks like you take off into fresh air :afraid:
Mind, could catch yourself a hotdog as youre hurtling past the snack stand :hehe:

Yeah, we leave our stuff out too. Mostly because we don't spend the entire day out there to just rent out a locker for a little while. We don't have money on us though...that I wouldn't trust. We hide our stuff too.

i must admit that the last two trip there has nearly alway been one person keeping an eye on the stuff, especially the camcorder, as i dont want to be running back and forth to a locker for the memorable bits to film, but then most people dont take them to the wp's, alot do tho

Any slides or wave pools can be pretty strong. I have seen way too many people uncovered by those things. I would wear a one piece bathing suit with sturdy straps (nothing that ties around the neck or strapless).

If you feel the need to go for a 2-piece, go for a tankini. You'll have less chance of exposing things you don't want exposed

Does'nt it give you that impression though? I thought the same, " No way I am going on that! After all, I have the car key and you'll all have to walk home! :rotfl: "

I would go for a Tankini thats what i wore on my last visit and i didnt show really. We saw quite a few women with their assets on show. I think it does depend on the type of bikini,
