Just bought the above walkman, what a piece of kit, previously had sony mini disc.
20 gb hard drive, 30 hours play time through rechargeable battery, no bigger than cigarette packet!
Just gotta spend some time now uploading my cd's on to it, if I'm not back by the weekend, send out the search party! :rotfl:

Yes Mike, 20 gig.
It gives you the choice of the compression you want to use, giving a choice of sound quality over space.
But given that its only a portable device, not too fussed over sound quality, its just so convenient.
When I was on about the battery life ( 30 hours ) to the wife, the youngest lad piped up, " There you go mum, when dad dies, put it in his coffin, and he'll have some music for 30 hours "!
Kids hey? dont you just love them?

Mine was £20 more mike, at argos, had been £250.
Had my eye on it since it came out, then noticed the sale tag over easter and went for it.

I have an ATRAC3 Sony walkman, and that has the software to burn over 500 songs on one cd. It also has a radio, tv, and weather tuner in it. I have had it for over a year, and i would never be able to go back to the only 19 song CD inside of just a CD player. I love Sony products, they're probably the best quality. Their headphones last me a long while, unlike Panasonic which went bad in a matter of a week and a half. I use my stuff majorly, so I am suprised. :)

They are good Josette :) , to be honest, sounds a bit ironic I know, but generally I'm a bit of a purist with mainstream listening, having spent a lot of money on my hi fi equipment for serious listening, but for music on the go, you cannot complain with what is on offer.
Yes there is a bit of a forfeit with sound quality because of compression, but laying there last night with my cans on I was still very happy with the results I was getting, all I need do now is get a decent set of cans for the flight over in august :D
