I'm not booking anything now but some of my friends want to know how much money the should be thinking of saving. Who here can help me ballpark how much i need if i PM them any idea of how long the trip will be, tickets, etc? I just don't want to take up a big thread about it. So if anyone is willing to help me out, let me know.

Most of us are pretty good, but Johnie probably is our bargain queen! She can find a bargain with her eyes closed! :)

That's what we are here for, to answer questions and if the thread becomes big, so be it! :D
Much depends upon how long you wish to be at WDW. Do you want to visit just WDW, or do you want to take in the other parks as well?
Do you want to stay on WDW property? What about meals? Eating all of them out, or will you try to buy some groceries and drinks and cut costs that way?
How many days would you like to spend in the parks?
Give us a bit more "maybe" info and we can come up with some scenarios and budgets for you!
OH! What time of year would you like to visit?

:) thanks alot hee hee. Sorry if this is sort of long, but here's my thinking.
Well, I'm unsure of how many of us are going. Im trying to get 4 of us to go, but it could end up as low as just 2, me and my friend Jenise who i went with this past summer with her family. We are both DEF going, even if the other 2 bail on us lol.
I was looking into Pop Century OR one of the downtown disney hotels. ive stayed on Royal Plaza before and i know how low some of their rates can go, not to mention proximity to PI is awesome, since we'll be 19 and 20 years of age then.
Um, originally i wanted to do WDW AND Universal but I'm thinking i might keep it to just WDW to help cut the cost on bot the Universal tickets and taxi transportation there (we wont be renting a car, we cant anyway under 21 im pretty sure). I was thinking of staying either 5 nights/6 days or 6 nights/7 days. Probably go with a 4 day hopper, and have the other days to tour downtown or the boardwalk area or just relax at the hotel.
Meals? I'm thinking for breakfast we'll live on poptarts or cereal. I mean we might go out like once for it but it wouldnt be an every day thing. Other than that i havnt any idea, really.
Oh, we live in NYC. So that'll give you an idea maybe of round trip cost.
My first choice of when to go? January when me and the girls are between semesters. We get like a whole month off so i guess sometime during the first couple of weeks. I know thats value season. But its really going to depend on everyones schedules, so If not then, late may to early june.
My mom used to be a travel agent, so i tried to enlist her help. But she's busy trying to get her, my dad and I to Virginia for my spring break (which can you believe i havnt had yet?). And not to mention, she thinks im planning way too soon lol.
Anywho, im trying to get a rough figure of what my friends would need for hotel, air fare, tickets? meals i havnt thought about but whatevers the smallest budget a day you think we could live off of, let me know. And as for spending cash for like souveniers etc, im leaving that up to them for whatver extra. i just want to give them an idea of the basic costs.

Well, for food and snacks, you could plan to ship some light weight non-perishables to your resort. Or pack some in your carry-on bag. That would work for your Pop-Tarts, cereal, etc. Depending on the weight of your package, ground shipping should be something in the area of $8 to $15.
The body, eyes and brain have just about had it for the day. Will think a bit more tomorrow! :)
