View Full Version : Palo question

BevW

Sitting here thinking about our upcoming cruise and knowing we want to dine at Palo's at least once...for both Donna and Johns and Rick's and my wedding anniversary.....how do we pay for this? Do we have to pay with cash, or is this part of the on board credit deal?

Who knows the answer to this question that's making me bonkers?

Knowing Disney, they change things at the drop of a hat....or glove....or red shorts..

Breeze
April 7th, 2005, 23:09
Okay 2 years ago it was a $20 surcharge per person extra. If you added wine it was  :faint:

Why don't you just call Disney Cruise Line and ask them

BevW
April 7th, 2005, 23:20
 No no no my question was, do you have to pay cash or do they take the money out of the $500 cruise fund thing that they require you to have...

Breeze
April 7th, 2005, 23:26
I just called my friend who went and she said they they just take it out of the account for you. Isn't that nice of them

I know I`ve jumped in late here but throughout the cruise, you never see any cash being used on board.
The same applies when you are in Castaway Cay [even if you only buy a postcard] everything is charged to your stateroom.
The only place on the island where you can use it is at the Post Office if you want to buy a stamp with the DCL ship on it and get a special postmark when you send it.

The only time you use cash is to tip the room service Cast Member, The first time we cuised we didn't know this info. How embarassing, but you have to tip the guy who delivers your food to your cabin right then. FYI.

BevW
April 17th, 2005, 01:08
And that's a good thing to know...about room service, cos I plan to use that little perk for breakfast a couple of times during our cruise!

Thanks Marksfriend!

Rum is good too

Actually a friend of mine brought back about a dozen bottles or so of Vanilla and she gave me one. It's nothing like the stuff you buy in the grocery store. I'm not sure if you're going to the right places to get the vanilla, but if you are make sure to get yourself some, it's awesome

For some strange reason though, when we were in [I think] Grand Cayman on our island tour, we stopped at a place where we could sample the various rum liqueurs which were made there, but we were told that as we were with DCL they could not sell us any  .

I guess this was because you could buy them in the duty free shop on board. The problem was that the duty free shop had run out of the coffee flavoured one which we liked during our sampling session!

BevW
April 18th, 2005, 16:22
Vanilla? Where'd she get the vanilla? We'll be making 4 stops...and I know for a fact that Castaway Cay won't sell vanilla :lmao:

Rick's leaving all the planning to me..so I KNOW he doesn't know which ship we're going to be on. He just knows it a Disney cruise.
