We saw tons of characters all over the place at WDW. There are timed meetings around the parks with some characters. Then there are the meet and greet areas where there will be at least one character on hand all day. And sometimes they just let a few characters loose around the parks. :D
If there's a particular character you want to meet, stop in at Guest Services when you arrive at a park and ask them. They will be able to tell you where and when that character will be available for meets.
Oh and don't forget character meals too. There are a lot to choose from with lots of different characters.

Magic Kingdom definitely. Don't know if they still do it but last time we were there at park opening they sent out about 20 different characters - including a couple of princesses - to the square by the park entrance and they were there for at least 2 hours. Occasionally a character would go but another one came out almost straight away. There was always a Lion King character in Adventureland. Always characters at the meet and greet in Mickey's Toontown, and in Fantasyland they have the Pooh characters and Ariel in her grotto.
MGM have meets every couple of hours under the big hat with about a dozen characters and they have characters down Mickey Ave all day.
Epcot has characters around World Showcase in their relevant countries - Aladdin in Morocco for example. Always a long line for him - can't imagine why. :D
Animal Kingdom has Lion King, Bugs Life, and Pooh characters around most of the day, and there always seemed to be a couple of characters hanging around the entrance waiting to say goodbye to you. Oh and if you get to this park at opening they have a load of characters at the entrance too.

If you don't know who they are, assume they were in Pocohontos or Robin Hood. :D

I challenge you to show me a character that I can't name  . We saw Gideon (from Pinnochio) when we were there in September. His handler was rather impressed I didn't have to be told who he was.
PS...Actually, I'd better rescind that challenge...I've never been able to keep those stupid Country Bears straight.

When i went Magic Kingdom there is sooooo many from all the films....only poeple i have not met is winnie the pooh and crew!
Going soon :woohoo:
When we were there last we went into a shop and asked where the various characters would be, particularly donald duck as my youngest wanted to see him. They phoned up and told us the time and place all the characters would be on that day.
