Advice on bargain hotel near parks

Hi

New to the board from UK

Been to Orlando before, planning 10 day visit to do parks in July, it will be just two adults with no car (don't plan to drive!) need a good price hotel near Main Gate with free shuttle service any recommendations please, is it cheaper to do a last minute package nearer the time or can it work out cheaper booking flight and hotel seperately. Also, in your opinion which Disney hotel is the best to stay in.

If you are looking for inexpensive you certainly won't go wrong with any of the Disney Value Hotels.

Have to agree, the all stars are brilliant value and can work out cheaper than the offsite places when you take into account getting to and from the parks (the free shuttles don't always work out so well). If you really end up offsite, I can't tell you which to stay in but I CAN tell you NOT to stay at the travelodge main gate east <SHUDDER>
