I stayed at La Quinta Inn Lakeside in March 2004. I got it via Priceline for a really cheap rate. It was safe, clean and cheap. I had no complaints. It wasn't that far from Disney. They had free mini-golf and a fridge in the room. The room was large. I paid $19 a night and the price could not be beat.

Hi Scofie and welcome, i have not stayed at the Hotel but my brother did for ten days this March, he had no complaints, but it was his first time in Orlando so he had nothing to compare it with, i have heard both good and bad about it, but then again i have heard good and bad about a lot of Hotels, for example, a few years ago we stayed at the holiday inn sunspree, a lot of reviews did not have a good word to say about the place, but for us it was a clean and comfortable place to crash at a very good price. I should not worry over much. Trip advisor can be hit and miss, i am researching for a holiday to LA next October, and one of the hotels there has been recommended to me over and over again, if you look on Trip advisor it has some good reveiws, but one review recently slated the place and only gave it one star. Is it your first trip to Orlando?.

If we ever stay off site I'm gonna ask Johnie to book a room for me.

We stayed there in 1999 when it was called Sheraton Inn Lakeside. It was tatty and in need of refurbishment, we were given 3 different rooms before they founf one where the air con worked. Definitely not up to Sheraton's normal standard which is why I think they sold it (someone correct me if I'm wrong please). The location is brilliant for Disney as you can use Sherberth Road, but we would never stay there again.

I was in Orlando last Easter and stayed at the Best Western Plaza in I Drive, it was excellent we decided to try somewhere different, so chose Kissimmee, so hope La Quinta lives up to the standard of the Best Western
