Some months ago someone talked about a sportsbottle with a filter in it, so you could drink water from the tap in WDW without the nasty taste and without dragging someting really heavy along with you in the parcs.

Where can I buy such a bottle and what is the brand. Do you have a link or a photo of it?

Hi Gwen,

We bought one just the other day - the brand is Brita. I don't know if it's available in the Netherlands but it probably is. We are about to test it soon - we'll let you know what we thought!

Here'a a LINK (http://www.brita.nl/home.html) to the Brita website for the Netherlands. Just do some searching around there and see if you can find it.

Hi. Over here they're called Brita fill 'n go. We used them in January and thought they were great. It was amazing how they changed the taste of the water.

Ukwdwnut - we bought them at Robert Dyas - but they were being "sold to clear", and I see they no longer have them on their website.

Hope you find them Gwendolyn - and I hope Brita haven't discontinued them because I'd like to buy some more filters!:)

Brita Fill-n-Go bottles and filters have been discontinued in the U.S. I haven't seen any in our area (Phoenix, Arizona) for some time. 'Course I don't shop a lot, but the basic department/discount stores that used to carry them no longer have them in stock. Haven't even seen any on clearance for some time.

It seems they still make the filters...the bottles are harder to come by. If you do find the sports bottle let me know too they are something I would be interested in getting for our trip.

Hi
I believe a company called (and I hope its alright to post the name here) watercoolers direct still sell them online in the UK. I'm just going to order mine now before you lot buy them all up if they have been discontinued!

Further to the above the company have some left and will sell until they are out of stock, but then discontinue as they cannot source the filters anymore. The bottles do come supplied with a filter, so they can be used for some time, before you have to start trying to find a new filter. Does anyone know if they sell the filters in Walmart or somewhere similar?

I bought a Brita filtered water bottle at Walmart about 2 weeks ago for $4 on clearance. It was the last one. It came with a filter that last 2-3 months. They were still selling the filters at regular price.

Thanks jen - I have just managed to purchase the sports waterfilter bottles from Watercoolers Direct - here's hoping it arrives before I leave for Disney. I forgot to check what the delivery times were although I don't go for another 4 weeks so we should be OK.

What is the URL? Because I called the Dutch section of Brita earlier today and they're not selling the Fill and Go in Europe.

Brita stopped making them. I've no idea why though since everyone seems to want to buy them.

Oh no :( I must have just got the last two or something... I do have some good news, I saw them in Boots today! I couldn't believe it when I saw them! And they were much cheaper too, on sale, at about £3 something. It wasn't the Brita ones but it was the same idea, so maybe you could try there?

If anyone interested int the waterbottles are having a hard time finding the bottle and even the filters, for I know they are really limited here in my State, my mother heard me talk about them and came home with 3, she keep one and I got the other two, but they were on clearance, for the extra filters we had to go to ebay to get them.....

Update!! Pure Water 2GO has a new office that opened in Canada. They have a line of Portable Water Filters (http://www.purewater2go.com/) and Water Filter Bottles (http://www.purewater2go.com/bottles.html) that work great for trips. They are only in the US, so it's been hard to get them outside the US because of shipping. Check out the contact page on their website www.purewater2go.com (http://www.purewater2go.com) and you will see the number for their Canada office.
