We stayed at the resort last summer (sept)........myself dh,dd,ds's.......the staff were so friendly........the rooms lovely and clean.(very clean).....the lobby outstanding the hotel was perfect..........the food was abit on the expensive side.(pizza was lovely and okay priced).....the kids loved the superb pool with its stunning waterfalls and huge slide........because of the hurricane we were moved to the regency club level (free of charge) SO we got lovely breakfast every morning..........loads to chose from .......with no extra charge just as a compensation......for the hurricane which was not there fault.
They also have free shuttle services to all disney parks and universal orlando resort.......sea-world orlando!!
Hope this helps anyone thinking about Hyatt regency !

:) dear gps:overhere: We loved the H G C !!!! .........yes it is the same complex just behind the actually hotel itself.........we went to see the villas form outside and they looked very nice.......there is a pool for the villa residents..........or you can use the big pool (which is gorgeous) that is for the hotel guests.........we did use the beach..........abit small but lovely and mostly empty.....the kids loved it.......me and the kids also used the bikes.....but we did not go on the nature trails:blush: ........but we went on a walk around the grounds which was amazing...........sorry do not know about the back way, because we did not have car but used the shuttle service to the parks which was great (had tv with disney channels and great driver) and took taxi to malls.
:hehe: they also have gym........did not use it:rotfl: but we went in the Jacuzzi which was under the rocks(lovely) and my DH also had a massage:wink: he said it was brilliant but it did cost about $100 ! they also have a sauna in the changing rooms (which we sat in after our swimming and showers:lol: )
If there is anything I have left out please just ask anything at all:)
would love to answer any questions

Thanks Chips you've made my day !! are the villas within easy walking distance to the pool at the hotel ?? don't mind a little walk but I'm on hols so a little exercise would be enough... won't be in the Gym either then LOL :rotfl:Sauna sounds good , but we will be there in Aug . might be hot enough !! Just one thing I know this sounds daft but how do they stop the alligators getting in the complex, don't want to find one on the beach sharing my sun bed  My DH thinks I've lost the plot as he says you don't see many crocs at WDW do you ?......point taken :hehe: After the lovely wet day we've had here in Devon I am sooooo looking forward to some sunshine if only to dry out,
Oh and another question are there places near by, again walking distance ,to go buy groceries like milk and bead , ham that sort of thing ?? and to have breakfast or will we need to drive to them ?? Thanks

Thanks :) From the villas......there is abit of walk to the big pool ...........if memory serves right:eek: so u might want to stay with villa pool.........oh but there was a bus service......yes yes:thumbs: I think they probably would take you back and forward (just ask when you get there).
yeah we went last september and it was very hot but lovely:D
The alligators LOL:afraid: there is a sign that says they are in the lake......but we did not meet any hehehhe:hehe: so I think you should be pretty safe:wink:
Yes we walked to a small supermarket that was like just out side the resort...(when you are on your way to the hotel you will see the stores just outside the entrance to the resort).a bit on the expensive side but has everything you would need...they told as that there is cheaper stores but you would have to drive ! There are restaurants there too I think we saw pizza hut near by..........Danny's we had lunch there once (okay cheap:rolleyes: )there is also Indian restaurant(very nice) and some others.......some of them are okay to get to !the only problem being the busy roads........they are so hard to cross...if you can manage then you will be fine ........:) on our first day we were so tired that we ordered room service and had pizza.........it was really lovely:D  you have to try it and the price was really good and so was the service:thumbs:
there is also store in the Hyatt that has things like crisps, chocolates, sweets, drinks ! tea coffee..........biscuits.....oh yeah I think it was next to the Palm Cafe :hehe: erm cant remember what else but think you get the idea:) (just a bit more expensive then outside stores).
Hope I helped ...........if you have anymore Q's then just ask away.......I am very happy to help

Hey Chips, we booked through Expedia.com, we have a club suite ( you can upgrade at a cost ...not sure how much... to a two bed villa ) if it's just the two of them the club suite would probably be enough, and I think we got a pretty good deal, we have 13 nights, flying Delta via Atlanta from Gatwick for £2,300. including all flight and Hotel Taxes for 2 adults and 2 children http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/smile.gif I think we could have got it slightly cheaper or got a direct flight but we thought about it for a day and then the price went up http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/frown.gif I called Expedia who said that was due to the flights , as the flights are sold it limits flights available and also the price that you can get them for, we only booked last month though and didn't think we would get anything around that price !!
If you go on the Villas web page you can get a virtual tour inside the villas they do look nice !!
We have been to WDW twice before , once at Christmas ( done on a shoe string ) staying at the Best westernMovieland on I Drive reasonable hotel which we thought was good for the money, and a couple of years ago we went with Virgin to Masters Inn Kissimmee, thinking it would be equal to the Best W M Land and as it's in the virgin book it must be OK.. BIG BIG Mistake,... we promised ourselves that if we ever went back to WDW we would stay somewhere decent or not go at all, so we are just so excited about the Grand C, esp. when it costs very little more than what we paid to stay in that flea pit of a hotel, yep a direct flight would be best but not at the expense of the accommodation...anyway don't get me started on that one or I'll be here all night LOL :hehe:

The Villas all have full kitchens as far as I know( all except the club suite villa ),they all have separate sitting areas and private terraces and some of the villas have whirlpool tubs too !! Your Brother might be in such a daze after his wedding maybe you should suggest that you accompany them ... for safety reasons only... you know how difficult it can be to cross the road if you're not concentrating !! :rotfl:When is the big day ?? http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
