What are your opinions on the Sci-Fi for dinner or the Hollywood & Vine for dinner?
What characters are at the H&V?

I have looked at all of the menus and, because I am such a picky eater, these sound like the best 2 for my tastebuds. We have never eaten at MGM before so, I would love your comments please :D

I'm pretty sure that H&V is not a character meal anymore Diane. In fact I don't think MGM has a character meal at all

Not seen characters at h&v for dinner recently so :/ the buffet is "ok" lots and lots of choice but the food is only ok IMHO. I do still go there though...

Sci-fi I really like for atmosphere.. it's an experience :) I tried to get back there in march and they were booked up! REALLY disappointed... so I'll have to PS it in december. The food is fine in terms of burgers and so on but if you push it and expect more complex food then you may be disappointed.

Sad but true there is no character dinner anymore at H&V...We love Sci-Fi, great fun and the food is good. Our kids really thought it was great!

Huge Sci-Fi fan here. Gotta quit recommending it, seems to be getting way to crowded lately!

The Sci-Fi is worth going to for the atmosphere, it's great fun. The food is fairly good, the milkshakes are nice. It was packed last time we went so definitely one to pre-book.

From the two places you mentioned, I have only tried Hollywood and Vine. To me it was a typical buffet that was good. I know you didn't mention Hollywood brown derby but it is the best IMHO (pricy though)

Thanks AlecK........ I got the info from the menu section on this site - maybe the menu has changed by now too
Has anyone been lately and can confirm that the menu is roughly the same?

I haven't even seen inside the Sci-fi before. I am thinking along the lines of a quiet meal with old b&w films on show on a wall somewhere....correct me if I'm wrong :sigh: I wasn't even considering making a PS...didn't think it was that popular!

I did look at the menu for there too but I didn't like the sound of most of the food....I am very picky :(

We went to Sci-fi last August at like 11am for an early lunch, and walked right in, when we were finished and leaving there was a 2 hr wait, I would definately make a PS. The atmosphere was not quiet, it was very kid friendly, the movie is pretty loud, but we had quite a few laughs with the old commercials that they show. The drinks are glow in the dark alien cups with glowing ice cubes, DS thought that was too cool!!. The only thing that was hard for us was 2 people to a small table so a family of 4 is split up, Mom with 1 kid and dad with the other. You sit right behind each other, like you were sitting in the car, but with little ones this was a little hard. You need to try the onion rings! Yummmy.

We were at H&V last week and the menu is the same as the one on this site. I thought the food and service were excellent. There are no characters though. I would make a PS as they were not taking any walk-ins the day we were there.

So, who has privledges to change content on the main pages of the website to take all the character meal info off the H&V pages?
