View Full Version : Where did it come from?!

My Mum was having a bit of a clearout in the kitchen at the weekend when she came across an old drinks flask I had when I was little that I had completely forgotten about.
It's seemingly from WDW and must have been given to me as I know I had it long before we made our first visit. The design is a cartoon montage of the monorail, Haunted Mansion, Mickey riding Thunder Mountain, Jungle Cruise, POTC, and the Castle. It has the words Walt Disney's Wonderful World and is dated 1980.
Does anyone have any idea of the history of this? It does look a bit dated by today's standards and I really can't see myself ever using it ever again, but I'd hate to just throw it away if it was something collectible or valuable!
I'd attach some pics but I'm not that technical...

take a piccy of it with a digi camera, on its lowest setting say vga or 1 mp copy it to your pc then when you click on the reply button on whatever post you want to attach it to, look a bit lower it will have a manage attachments button, click on browse to where the piccy is on the pc and click on upload, and with any luck it will attach itself to the post if its a small enough size :D

I would really like to see it  . I have some things like that (mugs, pins, stickers) from the mid-80's that I just love to look at. I think I even have the "WDW - The First 10 Years" book somewhere. Definitely do not throw it away.

I love looking at the old stuff too, the fact that I forgot I even had this has got me all intrigued about it!
I've also got a plastic cup in the shape of a boot from the Golden Horseshoe on one of our very first visits to Disneyland in the mid 80s - I don't really remember much about the Golden Horseshoe at all (I must have been about 6 at the time) except that I was very pleased with having my coke in a boot! :D

Wow, my mom like saves everything from disney. We even have the 15 and 20 anniversary bags! (from buying things) Plus they have these TICKETS from back before I was born, and when Disney used to make you use tickets to get on rides.

collectorsconnection.com lists it for $6.00
It's only 20 years old or so.
I would hold on to it.

From the looks of that...it's a thermos that might have been in a lunchbox. And since it says *Walt Disney's Wonderful World* it may not actually be from a Disney park.
Does it have *THERMOS* or *ALADDIN* on it anywhere? They make most of the kids' lunchboxes.
Jack'sDad...when you looked it up, did it show a matching lunchbox?
