You have chosen our fave hotel
Our fave building is Toy Story,we have stayed in the Woody side the last two times. They are all well themed and we have stayed in Herbie, and Fantasia as well, but we find Toy Story is close to the main building but also far enough away to be quiet as well.
Make the most of the refillable mugs that you can buy.I'm not sure of the cost this year but all drinks in the food hall at the dispensers are then free.
Will you have a car at all?

Hi John! Welcome and glad you found us!
I so totally forgot about those refillable mugs....we used ours every day, mainly coffee to get a jump start on the day...ok ok several cups of coffee..
You and the boys will have such a great time at WDW!! I have to wait another year and a half before we get back, but that's ok, more time to plan and save up.
Have fun here on the boards! there's really wonderful people here...and they'll be glad to answer any questions you have on just about anything, being Disney or not.

Hi John and welcome
We like the 101 Dalmatian area of ASM, it is close to both pools and the main area of the hotel, but i havent seen an area i wouldnt like when we have walked round and looked
It is a great resort and your boys will love it !
Definetely go for the refillable mugs they are a saving, the food courts are lovely they have a variety of different meals and snacks such as pizzas salads burgers etc
Any other questions just ask someone on here will know

We loved all star movies so much we are going back again next year (02.04.06-17.04.06) we stayed in the 101 dalmation building number 4 which was nice and quiet for the season(spring break) on each floor there is an ice dispenser so instead of hiring a fridge at $10 aday use your large waste paper bin and fill it full of ice (using the ice buckets supplied) and this will keep even milk cool. There is an arcade which has most games cost 25 cents and they win vouchers to exchange for gifts. the disney store not only sells the usual disney stuff which is great, but also sells milk/cookies/booze/chips/some medical supplies ie plasters etc. This is a great place especially if it is your first visit - have fun

I would say to try and stay in the section that interests your guys the most. We stayed in the Toy Story section as my ds is a nut for Buzz. He was 5-1/2 at the time. They have an RC car that the kids can sit in along with the giant Woody and Buzz.
Also, we were close enough to the food court, pool and main lobby for the rest of us!

We liked being in the toy story building, the closest one to the bus stop. Also, we recommend requesting a ground floor room in advance. It is a little noiser, but saving your extra steps up and down stairs is worth it. imho// :)

Hi and thaks for the reply! No car, we will be relying onthe bus service (not a problem I hope!)
As far as the refillable mugs what can you get? Can you get juice, milk or just soda?

Soda, hot cocoa, coffee, tea, water. Milk you have to get at the food court, right along with the juice.

So on those refillable mugs is milk and juice part of the package? Not a big coffee or soda fan so not sure if the mugs would work out. What do you think?
BevW

Nope on the milk and juice. There's a refreshment station in the middle of the eating area of the food court. There's a soda fountain located there...along with a coffee and hot cocoa station. You can also get hot water if you're a tea drinker..but I think you have to bring your own tea.
the milk and juices are located in the refridgerator section in the fruit/sandwich/cheese/donut/salad area of the food court.

Have you been to the Tech Test forum? There should be a thread there that's a sticky from Joanne....it's not hard but it's not easy if you haven't attempted it at all.

To answer your no car question, we did the same, relied on the busses. They were fantastic - we were there in August and found them to be very reliable and very prompt.
As for where to stay, I honestly don't think there would be a bad place, we were in Dalmations and loved it, but I think anywhere would ge lovely there

What is the arcade area like at the resort? Is it .50 or .25 for a vidio game? (or more)!

It's not so bad, we can use the time to plan :D
As as for the arcade, we only played air hockey in there (which is so much fun), and I'm sure it was 50 cents, but don't hold me to that. All I can remember is that all the games seemed very reasonable in comparison to arcades here.

I hope you meant 25 cents :rotfl: but yes they all take quarters though some can take a few(ie baseball was about $2 for a whole game)

yes i meant quarters but my fingers were to quick for me!!! if you win you get tickets coming out the machines and you can then exchange for gifts - my son made me take home a small carrier bag of junk that he won on the arcade - my advice save all your vouchers for a big prize!!!

I forgot to add that there is 2 laundry rooms, one by each pool. The washing machine is (or was april last year) $2 and the tumble dryers were $2 and the powder was $1 they only take quarters. Each wash and tumble takes half an hour. I used to do my washing whilst i was around the pool to save time. Hope this help:afraid:

I know what you mean,DD always gets what seems like thousands of them. We get her to save them until the end of the hol,but after three weeks of collecting tickets we still end up with loads of junk.
