Hi i'm am so confused? please help

I have never been on a cruise before any info will help me

When on the ship how does the tipping work.

Do you have the same table / waiter the whole journey and do you tip each day or at the end.

There might be more questions to come.

Yes, you have the same wait staff, the same dinning time and the same table number throughout the entire cruise. You give them their gratuities at the end of the cruise on the final night.

What we always do is go to guest relations and charge all the gratuities to our room. Guest relations has suggested gratuity amounts for the four crew members you tip, Dinning Room Manager, Server, Assistant Server and Stateroom Attendant. Guest Relations gives you a voucher which you give to them.

If you booked the Land/Sea Package which allows you to use the same "Key to the World" card throughout your entire vacation, and if you have charging priviledges on it with a credit card on file to apply charges to, I believe that you can do that. You'll have to call DCL directly and ask or somebody else might come along and have an answer.

If you booked your cruise and your resort stay separate, you will have to do two check-ins, at the DCL check-in counter and then at the Disney Resort.

But since you probably will be using the same credit card to apply charges to throughout your entire vacation, this should not be a big deal.

not sure about the idea of charging all of them at the CRB, but usually if a Land/sea vacation is booked, you do the land portion first, Also our waiter told us that if you don't hand the coupon to them, they do not get their tips, They do not get paid a wage for working, their income is based solely on tips. Disney is the only cruise line that does guarantee their waiters a salary if they don't meet a certain level, but they are working for your tips, and they work hard and definatly deserve it. We have always made sure to hand them their money that they have worked hard for, I also have shared before about making sure to tip the room service people when they deliver your food, Our first cruise we didn't know this, and after we found out I felt so bad about not tipping them, Once they leave it is hard to find out who it was that delivered your food. Just have a few dollars handy to give them as they leave.

Don't think of it as charging to the CRB or the DCL. Think on it as charging to one "Key to the World" card, which is the same throughout your vacation on the Land/Sea Package. That one KTTW is associated to one credit card to apply charges to throughout your entire vacation.

Having said that, when you get to the ship and you are ready to tip the four crew members, Dinning Room Manager, Server, Assistant Server and Stateroom Attendant, and if you don't want to just give them cash, you can go to Guest Relations, ask them what the recommended gratuity amount for each crew member is, if you feel they deserve more you can increase the amount, charge the gratuities to your KTTW card, Guest Relations will give you four vouchers that you can then give to each of the crew members.

It is easier and much more convinient for the crew members when you do this since they really don't need cash on the ship. They then turn in those vouchers to their purse manager and that money goes to an account that has been set-up for them. If they need to buy personal items on the ship, it is simply deducted from that account. If they get some time off to go to one of the ports, they can just take money out of that account.

At the end of their contract, they just a big fat check  .
