Hello WDW fans!!

Can anyone advise about parking with a manual wheelchair. I have a disabled badge and will be bringing my own wheelchair. Understand that you have to show it to car park attendants(sure they have a better name than that!!) and they will direct to entrance.

Does this mean they dont fit on the tram things?

Are they always spaces available right outside Disney?

You can only use the Trams if the wheelchair folds up and you can transfer.
At MGM, AK & EPCOT you will park near the entrance. At MK you can only get as far as the T&TC. If you can't transfer to the Tram, you will have to walk/get pushed to the Monorail. Disabled parking is the nearest to the entrances/T&TC.

Disabled parking was great - just remember to keep showing staff your badge and follow the blue line. They may try to wave you into standard lane but stand firm and they will let you through. You must have your badge though!!!!!!

A quick, easy and a closer option to get to the MK is to follow signs to the Grand Floridian, at parking main gate just tell them you are going to the GF for a meal, Breakfast, lunch...when you pull up just vallet park, it was $6 last time, I dont know if it went up. And you can stay in the wheelchair thru the lobby up a elevator & into the monorail with the help of a ramp then off the monorail(1 stop) and into the MK. The Vallet parking is good for 1 day unless they changed it We did this several times with our family And it seems to be easier

Just follow the blue line at all times.. Handicapped spots are right at the entrance of each park and make life easier when you don't want to wait around for trams to come along.. plus I think the tram drivers get a little flustered when they have to deal with wheelchairs..I guess they figure we should all park in handicapped and stay away from the tram..

Is this still so? I thought that the monorail took people from the MK resort hotels to the T&TC where they had to get on with everyone else. We were looking to breakfast in Chef Mickeys and this would make life easier for DD :)

There are 2 routes used by the Monorail. One is the resorts and MK only and the other goes to the T&TC where you can get to EPCOT.

Thanks Whitequeen, so the first one does not go to the T&TC. Will we be allowed to park there all day we will have a disabled badge :).

Yep! At this moment in time Disabled Valet parking is free when you show the badge, you'll need to tip when picking your car up.
Of course, Disney could change that at any time......................because they can.
