We are staying at the BC in July and have a standard view. They said we will either get a view of the parking lot or a garden area. Does anyone know a room number or something that will get us a decent view with a standard view price? Also, does anyone know a room that we could request with a full balcony instead of the standing one? I know I have alot of questions but I don't know who else to ask. Thanks.

You could call your agent or Disney if you booked direct and have your requests noted on your reservation. Ask again nicely at check in if they have managed to allocate a room which you requested.

Okay 2 suggestions....
1. Check in as early as possible. Sometimes if you reiterate your request at check in, they will have you wait if the room fitting the request is not available and clean yet rather then giving you one that was already pre-assigned and ready but overlooks the parking lot. If it's late in the day chances for availibility won't be nearly as good as they will be earlier in the day.
2. Don't request a particular room#. Rather request "full size balcony" or "a particular section or view within the resort". If someone is already occupying the room# you've requested they will not be able to grant your request and then they'll just put you anywhere. Whereas requesting something like "full size balcony" will give them much more to work with to grant your request. Put your requests in (either yourself or through your TA) in order of importance as they will generally try and grant your top 2 whenever possible from what I understand.
Best of luck and pixie dust!

Thanks for the info. I'm sure Disney is tired oh hearing from me. I have already put in a request for a bigger balcony. We plan on arriving at the resort around 9:00am. Hopefully that is early enough. Can't get there any earlier, it is going to take us 12 hrs to get there. Anyway, thanks for all the advise.
