Hi folks we're still at the planning stage for next years hol, I never knew deciding to go would take so long. Anyway to get to the point, this is probably going to be a once only trip and my family want to stay at FW but do universal and sea world as well. As I'm the money conscious one and will have to pay for this does anyone know if it will be expensive to get to universal and sea world, we won't have a car, from disney, or will it make more sense to stay off site for a few days to visit these attractions and then move to FW. We are only going for 14 days so if we spend a week offsite will 7 days be enough time to see all of disney without having to rush.

It will cost you between $25 - $30 for a taxi each way from disney to US and SW. Agree a price with the taxi driver before hand :)

Hi Kitty

First time we went we stayed on site for 2 weeks and didn't go outside WDW at all. Last time we went we stayed on I-drive for 2 weeks and took hotel shuttles to WDW which were a bit of a pain as it took a long time and we were tied to their schedule. This time we have decided to do a week on I-Drive, use the I-Ride trolley (and taxis etc. when necessary) to visit Sea World, Universal and SHOP! Then we're moving to WDW for the second week and staying inside WDW for the whole time. There's so much to do outside WDW and we don't want to miss anything!!

Do you think a week is long enough to comfortably see everything see everything at WDW if we spend the first week off site, bearing in mid we haven't been before.

Besides affordability, the amount of time we spend at Universal parks is a major factor in us choosing to saty offsite. My son wants to go on all the big thrill rides as this is the first time he will be tall enough so I can see us spending several days in IOA.

I had even considered the All Stars but as I know at least half our holiday (if not more) will be spent in other parks then I felt offsite was best.

As we have the car I think we will really park hop next year! Disney in the morning, IOA in the afternnon, back to Disney in the evenings perhaps!!!

Perhaps you could go with the option of FW for one week then somewhere on I-drive the 2nd?

Thanks for your help I think we'll go with the one week at WDW and one week of site option, maybe somewhere in LBV that offers a shuttle to universal then we can always return to disney if we have spare days.
