Hi Tracey,

Disney dollars are what they say they are dollar notes with disney characters on them, there are legal tender and can be spent just like normall dollars (in disney though)
Don't know if you can get them in the UK - you may beable to get them from the disney store, however someone will be along soon to confirm where they can be purchased

Disney Dollars are bought dollar for dollar, and are obviously only for use on Disney property.

We bought some last year for our contribution to a collection at a wedding which several of our members were attending. We got them from our resort [the GF].
I don`t know if they can be obtained here in the UK, but they are widely available "over there" either at the resorts or at the parks.

Unfortunately Disney Dollars are not available anywhere in the UK, be it at a Disney Store or online. :(

Thank you for all the replies.
My oldest is 4 and will enjoy getting money while away with special designs on.
Pehaps I'll put some dollar pocket money in her surpise bag and she can can purchase her own special money while at the park.

Disney dollars are great for children. They can be bought all over Disney. We bought a lot in the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney. They come in different denominations, we normally buy one dollar, five and ten dollar bills. They come in lots of different designs, Steamboat Willie is a favourite, 100 years of Disney is also popular, and another good one is the five dollar Goofy bill. An uncommon one to look out for is the ten dollar bill featuring Tinkerbell. I'm sure there'll be lots of special ones for the happiest celebration which I'm really looking forward to buying this year.

Whenever the new Disney dollars come out, I try to get at least one of each new denomination. I will be getting some new Disney dollars for the 50th Disneyland anniversary.
