Ok, I know this question has been asked 100's of times. How much money do you think I should plan on bringing? We are staying at the BC. The rooms and tickets are already paid for. What I have added so far is about 300.00 for gas. That's about it. I plan on bringing most of our snack and alcohol. We go to DW every year so you would think that I would know this by now. My daughters spending money is already put aside thanks to her wonderful grandparents. I'm just curious how much money we should bring for food/junk. We plan on going down to Siesta Key Florida for three nights, then heading back up to DW. We plan on eating mostly on the grounds and at the parks. We plan on doing Rainforest, Hollywood and Vine (Fantasmic dinner package) and Cape May. Other than that it will probably be counter service with several stops at beaches and cream. YYYUUUMMM!!!!!Any ideas of a ball park figure? Thanks.

How long are you staying for and is there just 3 of you?

It is just the three of us. We are staying in Siesta Key for 3 nights and at the BC for 4.

Well don't know how much for Siesta Key's FL, but for Disney if you are looking at 5 days 4 nights, with the dinners you spoke of already, hmmmm lets see. For Beaches and Cream if your daughter, not sure of her age, eats from the kids menu and you all get dessert I would say around $50 per trip not including tip or tax. H&V $19.99 adult $9.99 child and Cape May Cafe $24.99 adult and $10.99 child, that will run you around $60 and $70 or so. The couter service and other sit down no buffet restaurants will really depend on what all you eat. I know I always budget so much per day for my family, this year however we opted for the dining plan, we aren't big breakfast eaters, so we will grab some fruit and keep in the room for that. Also depends on if you get the refillable mugs, which we do, so even if we do grab a light breakfast in the food court we don't spend more then $20, then lunch at counter service for the 4 of us about $30 and dinner at a nice sit down well anywhere from $50 or so and up. I would budget about $50 for breakfast and lunch and atleast $60 - $100 for dinner depending on where you are eating. I also over buget incase we crave an extra treat for the day if not we have extra money for the next day or go home with money to save for the next trip. I also have 3 kids and it is just me, so 2 of them eat off the kids menu. Your best bet is to confrim your choices for meals and look at the menu prices. Hope it helps you some. I know how you feel I think I am finally set on the budgeting part, but I after 4 years in a row you would think I could figure out the other parts of my trip.

Our family of four, DH, myself, and DS 12 & 10, spent on average of $200/day. We ate breakfast at a counter service, snack in the park and sit down dinner in the park. This also included souveniers.

It doesnt seem to matter what I budget for our trips I ALWAYS seem to go way over. The food is what gets you,3 meals aday in the parks/resorts, sodas and water as well as snacks throw in a character meal or two and the next thing you know you are back at the ATM looking for more cash wondering what happened to your budget? We definitely went last month on a strict? budget and by the time we got home and went through what we spent it was about 8 hundred more than we expected. But what the heck you only live once! :)

Food is a killer! I never seem to budget enough. Guess we just like to eat to much.
