We didn't stay there, but we picked up a few people when we got shuttle transport to the Disney Parks.
You're right in the middle of International Drive I think, and pretty much opposite eating places like Ponderosa and Sizzlers which do breakfasts for $3.99.
Staying at the Quality Inn you are fairly central to all the eating places and shops on I-Drive.

Hi, we stayed there last Feb.......location wise you are at the southern end of I drive, there is a restaurant on site and had children under 12 eat free, so it was about the same as eating in Sizzler/Ponderosa. Next door is a nice Pizza Hut and Sizzler and just further up is a Ponderosa. For the hotel, we thought it was fine, nice size rooms, clean and fridges in the rooms....we were given a room in the block that faced I-4, but we do live on a very busy road so the noise did not bother us, but if you are used to quieter than I would say email hotel and request a quieter room. To be honest I would say it was a nice cheap motel, if like me you are happy with basic as long as it is clean because you are never in it then you will be fine, if you like 4-5* hotels you might be better looking at somewhere else.......if you would like to know anything else please feel free to ask.

Not meaning to alarm anyone but our neighbour was booked for the Quality Inn International and has changed hotels as we was advised that the Plaza and the Quality Inn International are being downgraded to 2 star hotels next year.

have stayed at both plaza and quality inn international and they were very basic but clean. we asked for a room away from the interstate and got one it was ok. There is a basic deli on site at both there both handy for eating places on the whole we had great experiences with them both but this time have opted to be on universal blvd purely to be away from the interstate as we live in the middle of no where and found the trafic noise a bit much that is the only reason but we do live on a farm

Hi there we stayed at QIP in 2003 and we are going back in August we found the hotel very good for what we wanted a room for the night and a place to get washed and dressed for the evening, we used the restaurant once for breakfast(free voucher from Virgin)nothing special, better to go to the sizzler 2 minutes away.Across the road is Pointe Orlando if you have kids "xs orlando" is very good, it is a big video arcade, where you buy time cards and there is a big bar in the middle for the adults further down the road is the Mercado which has shops and a number of restaurants
