Hi,
We are planning on taking the DCL Eastern Cruise in 2006. We were thinking October... Is this a good time to go, how is the weather? I have heard that hurricane season runs August - October, but then again I have seen hurricanes run through the carribean in February!
Has anyone taken the DCL Eastern in October (Halloween - my favorite time of the year!)?
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michelle

Welcome to the Boards!!!
Hope we can help you plan your DCL vacation  . Also, make sure you post in our "Introduce Yourself" to meet other UOG members
As JM said, hurricane season runs from June 1st thru November 30th, peaking in activity from August 15th thru October 15th

About your upcoming Disney Cruise, we've done a Halloween cruise and it's lots of fun, specially for the kids. Ours was a four day cruise, Nassau and Castaway Cay.
We've also done a 7-Day Disney Cruise, but ours was the Western Itinerary. It's my opinion, and I'm sure other members might disagree, that the Western is a better itinerary. I used to vacation in the Virgin Islands and all the ports in the Eastern Itinerary are very similar.
In contrast the Western Itinerary with stops in Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel (Mexico) and Castaway Cay is a real experience. You really feel like you are waking up in a different country with a completely different feel and atmosphere each day of your cruise.
I have lots of photos from our Disney Cruises, you'll find links at the bottom of my signature...
